Can you elaborate? Basically no one found the solution yet I've searched through internet and could not find anything then it magically works for 1 person on mastodon? Comaps from F-droid work on your car?

Yes, other solutions are worse, but GrapheneOS is not ideal either. As you mentioned everything on this list is based on AOSP, including GrapheneOS.

I get your point now. I'm sorry I did not read the article and did not know the full context. I was just reffering the Tuta's answer to you. I admit you properly pointed this article out as being unfair but I believe its just because of a mistake, human error. I think we all can agree that GrapheneOS is currently the most private and secure mobile OS and in comparison to other options from the list it is outstanding in privacy from ANY entity, not just Google. But the truth is, GrapheneOS is not really "deGoogled" OS and that statement is true from Tuta. But paradoxically its the most "degoogled" solution from this list, because you cannot expect any privacy without security first, if other OSes have unimplemented patches it makes them compromised from everyone, from Microsoft to Google, Facebook, CIA and Israel's hackers.
So I hope Tuta either update the article promoting GrapheneOS the most from the other solutions, yet pointing out its still based on Google pixels and Google's OS, or remove the article completely.

well, Tuta is absolutely right here, that running a "deGoogled" OS on GOOGLE's phones only is not much of "deGoogle". You literally pay google to get rid of it, and you won't actually get rid of it completely, because your phone is made by them, your OS is based on THEIR OS.

Personally I prefer the way of trash being just a directory, a .desktop file on desktop and in file manager instead of a widget.

Thats great news! And not so good at the same time..we all know most contributors are on github, but hopefully it will be as recognizable as it was on github.
Also why github blocked you @npub1fkd…85ac ?
Another question, why don't you post on @npub1t2q…n4vh ?

Why aren't you on fosstodon.org instance? I guess that would be more trustworthy

It's not about filters, but you just don't have "suggested" content, no algorithms...It is actually bad thing..Let's be honest, mastodon will never replace x and bluesky if it won't drastically change. In current stage only nerds, furries and maybe few liberals are able to use it, most people don't give a fuck.

For real, they focused on stability instead of features, and here we got an amazing outcome. Loving KDE 6 already, can't wait for future releases!

I will remind that Tuta is based in Germany, and Germany is the biggest oposition to these crazy UE ideas of breaking encryption "to prevent child abuse"

It's okay, but you spread some false informations, not just confusing informations. Another things: signal is not anonymous, thats even the reason why session exists, telegram is not open source (most people use it on mobile, not on desktop). This is cool you try to popularize privacy messengers, but I think you should do more research for this article.

Telegram is not really supporter of privacy..E2EE is optional in DM's, no E2EE in group chats, colleting metadata, almost the same as whatsapp...if you treat them as private I'm concerned about using Tuta.🫠

I already tried installing as "Google Play Store", but it didn't work. This github already mentions, that you need to patch phenotype.db on android 11+ (i have 14), and for this patching root is required. Also last commit to it was 7 months ago, so pretty much outdated. And I think there are more people currently using OM on devices with android 11+, than on android 10-. I know not too many people use android auto, but there are many people depending on this functionality. And suddenly if they update with an apk file now, AA won't work anymore.
Tbh I don't know why it doesn't work when installing as play store, maybe there is some another workaround, but I tried many ways (except rooting and more advanced stuff) and nothing worked, and when installed from play store (aurora didn't work as well) it magically works. As in github issue I mentioned.
Here is another guy that couldn't make it work on android 14 (even with root, on custom ROM though): https://github.com/organicmaps/organicmaps/issues/8002
They say there is some way when using magisk, but it again requires root.

Guys I don't know if you don't see my comments. Android Auto won't work on apps from fdroid/obtainium/your website, No matter the signing process. It all depends on android version, but there are too much people using android 12+, so recommending a method that will make app partially unusable is wrong.
