Honestly he seemed like a pretty down to earth guy (pun maybe intended lol). But yeah just having a face to face conversation with him was interesting. I was wearing a NASA shirt last night. Met an old friend for dinner and a guy approached us. Asked me if I thought Artemis was real. Lol. I invited him to join us. He was a plumber from out of state that was here on some kind of contract. He said he didn’t believe in NASA but was having some self doubt, kept referring to himself as stupid. I told him that self doubt was natural and is a sign that he’s actually thinking. Anyway nice guy, interesting experience.

I recommend this game with caveats. I don’t think it’s as fun if you follow a guide but that’s personal taste. I think this is akin to playing Zelda 1 or 2 without a guide. Massive world, no handholding. You play as a family and each member has unique powers that will allow only them to work through certain parts of the dungeon. A lot of trial and error if you don’t know what you’re doing. If that sounds fun definitely check it out.

I often think of Ys 3 as my first Falcom game. Growing up a friend had it on his SNES and I found it at his house one day. At first I thought it was a Zelda 2 ripoff but ended up really enjoying it. It wouldn’t be until years later that I knew who Falcom was. Shortly after I realized I tried (and failed) to play Legacy of the Wizard as a kid. I did go back a few years ago now and finished it, old school style (NES manual only). Great game and my true first Falcom

We saw the new Mario movie tonight and all had a good time. I always think of Terminator 2 when it comes to critics not liking a movie. Rotten Tomatoes shows 91 but I was a young teen when I saw this in the theater. My grandfather took me and it was the most awesome thing I had ever seen at that point in my life. Our local paper’s film critic panned it which made me think that critics were not to be trusted. Funny now that it seems to be well loved. Anyway Mario was fun lol

Blizzard announced StarCraft II at this event. This mousepad has seen better days but I still hold onto it even if I don’t really play much Blizzard anymore. I was living in Seoul back then. They didn’t charge for admission either. You just went. It was awesome :linkyay:

I finished my first playthrough of Silent Hill F last night. Loved that game. Ever since the Silent Hill 2 Remake launched I’ve been having a blast with the series. Last October I finally even played Silent Hill 3. Maybe this October I’ll check out The Room. For now I have to decide if I want to bust out a guide for the platinum trophy, use a guide to get all the endings, or just be lazy and watch everything online lol

I just haven’t lately. Hmm, it looks like when I played Silent Hill 3 for Halloween last year it was really the last time. I’ve played DQ 3 and 1 HD and RE3 Remake since then though. Maybe that counts? :doomguy_smile:
