Thanks. You’re saying it’s too late and I shouldn’t clog up the mail…?
I’m just writing a section advising people on handling text, and it feel weird to tell them to take out ^L. I would never do that. And if I write a function to do “this”, it won’t do “that”…
I won’t bother mailing…whatever the official address is, though, if you’re say “no chance”.

@npub19ua…53cv I’ve just been reading (and am writing about) RFC 9839. Great work.
One thing that surprised me: Your (three) useful controls codes do not include form feed (U+000C). Should it be four?
That surprises me. It seems safe, widely used and useful. You might argue it’s not entirely interoperable, but I would refer you to U+0009, U+000A and U+000D, none of which is free from variations of interpretation!
Is this an oversight? Deliberate? Should I mail you?

I dunno. Storage apart, more detail always means you can blow up/zoom more. And/or, being able to zoom more when shooting is always useful, if you can stabilise it and make it work. Is that niche? I don’t think so.

Clearing history didn’t help in Safari (on the machine where Safari is downloading) nor for Orion.

Presumably not a weird user agent from Safari and I haven’t changed any settings as far as I know.
Orion seems to be using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/17.4 Safari/605.1.15
The only other thing I can see that looks weird is that when Orion downloads the page it doesn’t add add .html…which it does for a BBC sites. But maybe that’s just how Orion is.
It feels like Orion (and Safari on the other Mac) don’t think they’re HTML pages. But I don’t know why.

If I compare the front page (which works) and an article page, it looks like the front page has Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8, but the article pages don’t?:
