really? I've seen a few apps that have those. I'm not sure of the Apple APIs (who is), but I _think_ the Android APIs only require permissions if the app is "talking to something" without user knowledge. If it's a link the user actually has to click, it shouldn't require permissions. I use a GREAT Norse Heathen app called Vallhalla+ and know the dev, and he has external links for other projects that work fine, and the app doesn't require the internet. So check the docs again, for Android.

Good apps, like yours, what I see a lot of devs doing to monetize things, because who doesn't like a reward for hard work? Is they put a "buy me a coffee" link in their app, so people can ...buy them a coffee, which whatever they choose to pay to say "thanks"

it largely prevents corruption that's why a lot of us like it. And as you can see down here...OH GOD. Corporate interests like Musk own our government, and it's getting worse. But in a republic, these weird Christians can only go so far. Because regardless what Texas thinks, ANY state can actually seceed. So if say California doesn't like being under Christian sharia, they can leave. Not easily, but they can. So in outrageous extremes, the country just breaks apart.

I defected from #guix back to #nixos. The idea is _there_ but, sorry @npub1q2d…wqyh the #libre stuff jut gets in the way. Nonguix tracks the main guix kernel, and if the versions don't match it has to rebuild the kernel which takes FOREVER! So I couldn't get ANYTHING done.

Okay. Going to give it a rest for the night. If you are a #solopeneur, especially for a burgeoning ISP, #emacs and #nixos is the way to go. I have individual root folders for each client, and inside, I have the source for any projects, as well as org-mode files which get setup in git, and inside each project I have a nix flake which sets up the project, kicks off some github actions and deploys the final production builds of things. It's in it's infancy right now, but pretty slick. I'll #FOSS it
