Very popular public space.
Dad with 7-8 year-old son, asking if the staff could call for a janitor because his son just threw up in two places he points out.
They’re standing *right next to* the staff, and the son is coughing aggressively.
No mention by dad of covering his cough. I would’ve done so regardless of how it made either feel, because I’d far rather they be embarrassed for not being considerate than blithely passing along whatever made that kid throw up to other people.

The production is exceptional, and as a decade-long cello player in school, lifelong drummer, and occasional guitar and piano noodler these days, I was pleasantly surprised to see real musicians in the credits. I usually expect that kind of sound to be digital these days. Bravo for those choices.
All of which leads me to ask: How long did it take you to piece together such a great collaborative team?

Looking like I’m going to have to bail on my current web hosting service because they renew at too steep a price than I can afford for a little blog site and two domains.
I keep seeing HostGator, inmotion and DreamHost show up as well-rated sites with really affordable (introduction) packages.
Does anyone have any experience with any of those services? Good/bad/ugly?

Can anyone tell me what a nominal cost is for annual website domain renewal and hosting combined?
It’s for my site, reayjespersen.com.
Extremely light stuff, mostly blogs with some photo galleries included. No heavy lifting or streaming needs.
I’m currently with A2, have been for a year (or two?) but just got hit for some huge, erroneous charge for way, WAY more than I need.
I’m talking with them to remedy that, but in case there’s no practical option, I need to find it a new home fast.

Why not just get together with other companies and work on an agreed-upon plug design they all use? Better still: Don’t make it proprietary. Let any manufacturer who wants to use that same plug system use it.
Behold: VW, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Volvo and let’s say Ford all agree upon one plug design they’ll all use and that any other manufacturer can use for free. You’re telling me that won’t have a good chance of becoming the standard?

I live close to this fantastic wetland reserve park area on the waterfront, and people leave their garbage all over the place, despite the fact that it’s literally impossible to enter or leave the park (at least, on land) without passing garbages and recycling bins all over the place.
All they’d have to do is carry their shit while they’re leaving and just drop it into a garbage they’re going to pass two or three of on the way anyway.
But nope.

Like, yes, of course YouTube is the go-to for most people, whether looking for content or creating it.
But what if they posted the same content elsewhere as well? A tiny extra bit of time taken would mean that a) your stuff would for sure be seen by people actively avoiding YouTube, and by people who are using ad blockers and don’t want to cave to Google’s pressure tactics.
Seems win-win.

To whoever thinks that people lean more to the political right as they get older: Im over 50 and bust my butt at work for $3/hr over minimum wage, where even if I worked full time hours (not often scheduled), I couldn’t afford the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in my city, let alone eating or paying any other bills.

Seems the test posts I made with Mona worked, but when I tried to log in with it later (already unexpected: I need to log in every time to use it?), it isn’t letting me in.
No error message, it just isn’t letting me past the 2FA screen.
And now that I’m using Ice Cubes to even get back on here, I can’t see those Mona posts in my own profile. Yet they’re there in my Notifications from when one was Liked by another person
I definitely have no idea what’s going on. 🤷‍♂️
