Which means he’s taken the credit card fees that most orders will cost him and spread it out into the cost of all the products. I agree with the incentives and desire for adoption, but I also know that if the price for cash/btc are the same to me as credit, and my card gives me 1-2% back, and is more convenient at check out, that’s an incentive too. Cold storage, hot wallets, ecash, even the ETFs, can all have a place in the overall picture. We can hate what banks have become- but still recognize that forever people have desired a safe (and insured) location to hold their funds. A young white teacher overheard it, got offended *on behalf of the black student* and got involved. “Zero tolerance” policy and suspension of an innocent kid, along with a school-wide letter about the “incident”. We might laugh at a story of a guy marrying a robot or something… but the more these tool seek to replace our human interactions, to fill emotional connections that are what make us human and unique, the more concerned I am that the next generations will start to “prefer” AI friends over real life ones. When I think back, my on chain footprint used to be higher- getting sub-$50k BTC, building up a bit and moving to cold storage primarily. But now, I have way more BTC interactions- DCA, zaps, paying in BTC when I can. But I have far fewer on chain transactions. If the BTC price moves up 2x or 10x or 100x, I’d personally have WAY fewer on chain moves the higher it goes.
