my point is: the end does not justify the means
this is how i explain the cognitive dissonance in your post
for me, there must be unity of means and ends
without this, we are not moving towards our intended goals but end up with something else
in your case, e.g. code which few understand, additional reliance on megacorps and forest fires
you want to empower users but you end up empowering megacorps in the long-term

RE: https://freeradical.zone/@lew/117349332920194189
more llm booster doublethink from the #reticulum mines?
there is no spare time except for spending months on an llm boondoggle. let's walk in the forest while barraging CO₂ into the atmosphere. building grassroots networks while shovelling money into megacorps
is there a #reticulum implementation that isn't dominated by some dude who is toxic or a llm booster?
back to the python implementation because at least that dude seems to have some sort of a moral compass...

i can try write up my steps later in the week. i am by no means an expert on this but maybe it's useful to get into it. the ASN blocking was nearly useless I believe, we were being hit from all corners of the world... i'll let you know when I have the docs!

PSA the @npub1vzj…h8yh server is getting targetted by a serious amount of llm scraper bot activity since yesterday 🚨
we've had to invest in our self defense measures once more and this might result in some false positives...
please send me your ip if you need access but everything looks down on your side (you've been blocked 🙈)
we're using a combination of fail2ban, anubis (temporarily very aggressive, in front of our gitea instance) and ASN level blocking

can anyone recommend a headless cms they trust?
e.g. for publishing hugo generated static sites with an integration
my research so far brings me to these constraints:
1) no byzantine config (like decamp/sveltia)
2) not run by a rug pulling wannabe megacorp (directus et al)?
3) doesn't require a tonne of auxiliary services when self-hosted (directus et al)
there's a sort of gold rush of headless cms products firing on all cylinders right now and the llm bomb didn't help

great! could you add a tag to all rotterdam events or perhaps put them in a separate collection? idk what gancio really offers for this... happy to hear what you think is possible and we try to meet you half way 🙏 would be great to integrate it!

so nice, we would like to!
however, there are "not rotterdam" events there, so we need a way to filter stuff.
we have gancio also in our setup, so we can do gancio <-> gancio federation.
are you or do you know the admin of this instance? if working towards filtering in only the rotterdam events is welcome, then let's try to do it!

Launch of prikbord.page 🎉
On May 29, we're launching prikbord.page: a collective web calendar for underground initiatives and creative spaces in Rotterdam. The development of prikbord.page began after a warm summer afternoon in 2025: 15 small organizations came together to seek an answer to a burning question: How do we collectively get off Instagram?

#reticulum workshop in #rotterdam has been announced 💗

> TL;DR: the February workshop features a practical, theoretical and political introduction to Reticulum [...] After the introduction there will be break-out groups for building new autonomous nodes, experimenting with long-range links and (improving the) onboarding experience for new participants.
