You are a powerful magician, but you can only cast one spell.
What spell do you choose?
You can be creative.

sorry I left you hanging. the issue is I meant to ask for ~$4000 and i put an extra digit. How embarrassing!
i wanted to investigate how the submission is stored to see if I could edit it from my side before publishing.. but tbh I was on a roll working on the game all weekend...
i have been rolling the question of an arbiter around in my head. I am kind of a loner on social media, so im still figuring out who to ask.

I am interested in discussing where money in my online video game should come from.
I could force players into a Barter system until they build a mint.
I could let them sell items to npcs for gold... which would cause the money supply to inflate beyond anyone's control... (this is how most games do it)
I could give every player some gold to start, but that would encourage people to make tons fake characters.
I could institute fractional reserve banking, and allow players to form their own banks and competing currencies (this is the worst option lol)
I could make it so coinage is found around the world map at a variable rate i control...
I could make it so you have to zap me for coins lol. p2w!
actually that idea has some merit. I could put special quests that, upon completion, gives the player a real zap from the treasury. that way normal players get some small benefit from p2winners...
I could givr players a small salary from their profession (once again tho we encourage spam and multiple bot characters)
I could make it so that gold only comes from contributions to the community quests... maybe this is the way. inflation is limited by the quests, so it won't get out of control, and it puts the focus on the community quests, whwre I want it. the problem is what do we do when the community quests are all done? no more new coinage? money velocity slows... and the economy stops working? maybe we cross that bridge when we come to it?
