Of course, but huge spurts of energy are like 2x EXP events in gacha games. I gotta use it up while I still got it because I just know I'm going to be relying entirely on willpower once it wears off.

2025-01-12 23:02:49 GMT

I view our current collective situation like that really messed up chess endgame where the opponent has mate in like 12 moves, but you don't know if he knows it so you just gotta play along until it's over. Some people really out here purposefully ending the game early when all it takes is for the others to mess up, and they've played the game really sloppy up until now.

2025-01-12 22:51:47 GMT

I feel like I got pretty good willpower, but I don't like my motivational high highs and low lows. I've been lifting basically every time I pass my weight bench since Friday and now I can't lift my arms, but I still want to, because I know next week that fire might be gone.

The American university grift is one of the largest and most complicated scams in all of human history, maybe tied with insurance.
We literally live in an era of free and unlimited information. I can fix nearly every part of my car with the help of a few YouTube videos. Every law of man and nature is available for perusal, and yet we are all under this blatant lie that you need to go thousands of dollars in debt and give up decades of youth so that you're "well rounded" or something.

2025-01-12 18:57:21 GMT

Update: professor's hands are tied. The textbook publisher jews are getting more crafty and they've made it exclusively online via a third party website, with "modules" and "in house generated content" so that nobody can just take screenshots and send them to future students. What a scam.

I visit relatives and feel estranged because I left and changed while they stayed and stagnated, leading to resentment/envy/vicarious living. We're all born into slavery via nature because no work = death and that kinda sucks, but it's understandable and I can appreciate a good day of labor. But it's not just the cold and hunger forcing me to work anymore and pretty soon I'll rather be hungry and cold than live in this construct we've built around ourselves.

2024-08-15 22:33:12 GMT

maybe the reason it's all shit is because I work hard putting myself out there for years and I tread water. My brother does jack shit and he treads water. I increase my margins of potential and it just means I raise my cost of living. I "make money" for what? Everything costs too much and is simultaneously poor quality. There's not a single ray of light in my future and I'm supposed to keep working away regardless.

I've never had this problem with Italian and I spoke to a wide variety of locals. The genoese spoke just as clearly as the florentine and the venetians. Southerners were a bit harder but not nearly as different as, say, the Mexicans vs Colombians vs Argentinians.

2024-08-14 23:39:11 GMT

Why hasn't Spanish been subdivided like Latin? It seems like nobody speaks at high register so I have to decide which regional dialect to learn, and that kinda defeats the main point of trying to learn it.
I spend a few hours listening and writing, and then go talk to people irl and get hit with
"¿Que lo que?"
"¿Mande?"
Just call it Mexican or whatever. It's not the same language at all.
