having some trouble picking an amount to generate a tip.
it tells me for a 1000sat tip that the fee is 10 sats.
So I enter the tip amount for 990sat but it gives total for 1001sat, then i enter 989sat and it shows total for 999sat. Math is a little off on that screen, no biggie but....
then when I go to fund the tip on the next page, it says not enough sats because i need to keep some for fee, which I thought I already did

yes and each relay is like a separate database from my understanding - correct me if i'm wrong - but if that single relay ever decided to go offline, all your content would go with it so its best to connect to multiple relays and can see which one your followers and friends are using from their profiles too!

A Treatise On Nostr Relays (if accessing nostr from astral.ninja):
Sometimes your feeds and follower count, for example, can change depending on the relay you have setup! This means that if someone were to follow you and it registered on a relay you aren't read/write from, then you might not see the follower for a while!
You can see a list of active public relays at https://nostr.watch
They are listed in order of availability (ping) so once you have a list - go to Settings > Relays and Edit them. Begin to add them to the list.
Pro Tip: Following someone? Go to their profile, they have a relay tab! Can add your friends and follower relays so you're all on the same relays!
never said relay so much in my life...

Here's some apps that I've found work great with storj.io
Photos and Videos: Photos+ (gave a year premium free when using storj s3 as storage option!)
Notes: Joplin (this note taking app is the best!!! especially with the browser extension 'clipper' companion)
Any others?

true! its more core to p2p than onion. i2p offers end to end encryption where if the ip is known to the peer at least the traffic and content are not (they cant tell if youre uploading image, visiting a site or just contributing bandwidth to network)
