In Nepal, some rhinos have stopped returning to the wild.
Instead, they’re strolling through villages, grazing on lawns, and wandering the streets of Chitwan.
What began as a conservation success — the revival of the greater one-horned rhinoceros — has led to an unexpected chapter.
Once nearly wiped out, their numbers in Chitwan National Park have grown past 750.
But with shrinking forests and expanding towns, the line between wild and human life has blurred.
Locals now wake to the sound of rustling leaves outside their homes — and sometimes, a three-ton visitor eating their crops.
For most, it’s awe mixed with fear.
Rhinos trample fences, destroy gardens, even cause traffic jams.
Yet few villagers wish them gone. In Nepal, they’re symbols of pride — proof that protection works.
Still, scientists warn this coexistence comes at a cost.
Urban rhinos lose their wariness, growing too comfortable around people.
Some are hit by vehicles or fall into ditches. Others are simply too used to town life to ever return to the forests.
In a way, these rhinos mirror us — thriving, adapting, and struggling to share the same land we’ve taken.
Not wild, not tame — just trying to survive in a world that keeps closing in.

Before war and hardship reshaped its destiny, Iraq flourished in a golden era of art, architecture, and modern life.
Baghdad in the 1950s to '70s was a beacon of culture and intellect where poets, professors, and families shared spaces with sculpted monuments and bustling cafés. Red double-decker buses cruised wide boulevards, fashion echoed European trends, and the spirit of progress filled the air.
This was a nation confidently looking to the future, rich in history and proud of its identity, an Iraq now remembered through photos, memories, and the enduring resilience of its people.

A sudden flood in the river flowing from Tibet has caused extensive damage in the Timure area of the Rasuwagadhi customs region. The flood has swept away the Friendship Bridge that connects the Nepal-China border with Tibet.
Due to the massive flood in the Lende River, located at the Nepal-China border in Rasuwa district, the Friendship Bridge linking Nepal and China has been completely washed away. The flood has also carried away several goods containers and electric vehicles (EVs) parked at the Rasuwagadhi customs office.
Similarly, cargo trucks on the Chinese side of the border have been submerged as the floodwaters blocked their passage.
There are fears of significant damage to both life and property due to this natural disaster.

Stay away from people who often tell you to be the "bigger person" to let their sh*t slide. They manipulate and pressure you into tolerating disrespect, avoiding accountability, or suppressing boundaries. You deserve mutual respect, not endlessly accommodating their bad behavior.
