Thatcher’s Britain! 🤨 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary That’s quite the lineup for #arctangent this year! npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…tf02 #music Queen at The Rainbow, London, November 1974. So pleased and relieved to have got this all sorted before Christmas, though 😍 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…7m8a okay, next question 😀 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…7m8a I’m running macOS 26.2, and the manual import worked fine, thanks! 👍 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary Well that's annoying. I'm trying out @nprofile…7m8a on macOS, and there's no option to import bookmarks and other data from Safari 🙄 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…87dy Appetite For Destruction npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…7nes hehe, we used to get this with stuff shot in Nottingham when Central Studios was still here. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…87dy Eric Bell and Scott Gorham npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…87dy Dave Murray and Adrian Smith npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…scce that and the underground boxing match episode are easily the worst. All caps, and very narrow word spacing. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary I don’t want to come across as grumpy and curmudgeonly, but I’m probably going to anyway. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…scce thanks for the continued hard work and hard money thrown at this. One night there were a few chinooks doing night flying training with all lights off. You knew they were chinooks, obviously, from the sound of the rotors, but all you could see of them was their silhouette as they occluded the stars. It was very spooky and a bit cool. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…5lc3 🙄 *sigh* npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary It’s actually really impressive the spatial awareness they have to navigate those narrow doorways with those huge antlers! npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…vfmd personally, I always try to hang in a cool place npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…x759 ah, need to read up on that stuff sometime npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…x759 so is it possible to host a fediverse site, and federate with “normal” internet sites, via a .onion address? npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…s5mg haha, yeah, I had a Currah µspeech for my Speccy that was laughably bad, and only had two or three games that supported it. Most of my time was spent getting it to say rude (to a ten year old) things 😀 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…cl5w this is why I've been in the same (increasingly bad) job for 20 years. Even though I am confident and skilled at what I do, your post (while inspiring) fills me with fear. I couldn't do that, even though I know it's the right approach npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…s5mg the speech sample in Ghostbusters was rotten, but I remember being stunned when Starglider on the Speccy 128k did it properly! npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary I'm not linking to the original post (because Xwitter, but credit to "flyguy"), but would you look at this Thing Of Beauty™ 😎😍 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…vfmd Black Thunder is a dramatic name for an icecream! 😀 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…s5mg I remember it for being the first game on the Speccy with a digital sound sample. It was barely intelligible, but the shout of Ghostbusters! was there. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary Interesting article on the development of the 8-bit Ghostbusters game npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…s5mg what a cruel world it will be if we finally start to tackle climate change because of *insurance* 😳 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…5lc3 even Russia? Baba O'Reilly (off Who's Next) was 1970/1971. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary @nprofile…7g9q oh, ta, not heard of that website before 😆 npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary Right, if an elected official (an MP or a Police & Crime commissioner, for example) “defects” to another party, that should trigger a by-election. You’re no longer representing the people who voted for you. npub17ee2rneqadpr43vgsxmfh5njhc35hjg72p2uc3v7y2n8f7a88jxqn8hanv Gary Bought a load of new #ikea #tradfri #zigbee bulbs yesterday.
