That's #Xfce running #Xorg #Conky and #X11vnc given the processes shown in Conky.
It's set up on an #Intel #Celeron N5100 with 8 GB total RAM, has 180 GiB storage on /home , and it's been up for nearly 10 hours in that screenshot.
It's running "LinuxKE-8639" apparently, but I can't immediately find that distro. (Would love to know.)
Kernel 6.1.0-23-amd64 is not the latest, but it might be #Debian based. Debian stable is always running behind on bleeding edge for stability's sake.

1 is entirely beside the point and software managers have been improving in major ways over the past years. Take KDE's Discover for instance; one-click install and uninstall. Easier than MS Store, even. 2 is moot; Windows frequently has bugs which break functionality. 3 is absolute quatsch. 4 Syncthing and other options exist. 5 even the big tech companies help fund #Linux development! 6 is valid. 7 is not.

That's more a problem with Chrome and whatever other software is running on the system. 4 KB RAM didn't have to support a graphical user environment with all bells and whistles.

AI does not make things easier. The opposite is true; because AI makes mistakes but is touted as the next best thing, these mistakes are overlooked or obfuscated by those who push for its adoption. AI is not the holy grail, it's the sudden pothole on a dark street waiting for your car to hit it just right to break its axle on.

If you are a website owner, you can work to help redefine the standards by just not adding nonsense to your website. What's wrong with going back to "Web 1.x" content? At least it was readable. Just like how every site didn't need Macromedia Flash content back when, not every site nowadays requires a heap of ads, trackers, and AI-generated nonsense.
