Last Notes npub17tp04c2pr3kn84lljfnxp86qhvns7dc3p5h99acnf5hqx245earqu7sec7 kusuriya So my multi-monitor setup is a 32" 1440 ultra wide with a 165hz refresh and a LG dual-up ultra tall on each side of the ultra wide running nixos and KDE plasma. so 2 portiat monitors and a regular one, all hooked to a VFIO rig. https://fountain.fm/show/dWiuBeqpDSM86AwXRXov #nevent1q…kgcj npub17tp04c2pr3kn84lljfnxp86qhvns7dc3p5h99acnf5hqx245earqu7sec7 kusuriya The tariff plan is just another grift by a career conman. The things Canada and Mexico promised to Trump were things they had already planned to do with Biden. This is like when Trump 1.0 tried to take credit for Obama's CARES act that allowed veterans to be seen with VA care in non VA facilities. My long term take is more or less he's going to start another depression because when you go look at the roaring 20s what came right after, The great depression. So if you shrink the window like the fox news pundit did man tariffs look sweet we need to get back on that train, when you pull the window back out you go yikes, maybe we shouldn't do that again. I would love to be wrong, but this is a tight rope walk over a pool of lemon juice and broken glass, and none of the people kicking the rope are the ones that will fall into the pool. https://fountain.fm/episode/Xm62k8L1bvznIHHLkHPm #nevent1q…sa30 npub17tp04c2pr3kn84lljfnxp86qhvns7dc3p5h99acnf5hqx245earqu7sec7 kusuriya So the way the Navy deals with it is a massive abandoned salt mine in Utah. The US does operate some breeder reactors also where every so often they will take some of the waste and burn it down to lead. But the hippies tend to throw giant fits about moving the stuff around so this all has been limited. https://fountain.fm/episode/EFPsHIZv1jE6ElpGpu4C #nevent1q…xupd npub17tp04c2pr3kn84lljfnxp86qhvns7dc3p5h99acnf5hqx245earqu7sec7 kusuriya for the link dom has the nail more on the head for the value proposition of Windows365. The major upsell is security and compliance. The hardest problem in workstation security is how to prevent people from doing stupid things because they have physical access to the machine, and you can't rely on the network security. VDIs have always been the answer and having used a Windows365 workstation for the past year for work to test I will say Microsoft may have finally cracked that nut. https://fountain.fm/episode/658fAZY8423EOaSmqDuo #nevent1q…t9x6 npub17tp04c2pr3kn84lljfnxp86qhvns7dc3p5h99acnf5hqx245earqu7sec7 kusuriya Remember the Apple ads about vista's UAC. Oh how the times changed. But a little tip, you can usually bypass a bunch of the error messages by setting file system flags, so like the block for internet things set com.apple.quarantine to 0 and its gone. But who knows how long that will last. That's why Ive been telling people to give linux another shot, it's got better. Don't have to deal with this nonsense https://fountain.fm/episode/yuRQbTht4MyP7K687cE7 #nevent1q…jrsf
