I worked in a pediatric cardiac ICU for many years and know that parents sometimes have to make tough choices when their babies are born with conditions that are not conducive to life. For example, should they proceed with many heart surgeries that will affect quality of life and afford no guarantees, or should they let their babies (who will not live without medical intervention) pass naturally?

Absolutely. And in many cases, they are the ones with more wealth, which translates into power (sad, but true)— generations of wealth & family power. America is basically an oligarchy. And the Heritage Foundation has a lot of influence.
But we do outnumber them. So what should we do? Many of us could run for office. And we MUST all use our vote…

That statement alone is bizarre.
Having more market share does not make it a monopoly. It makes it more successful.
If anything, the US smartphone market is a duopoly with #Apple & Google in terms of operating systems and an oligopoly (with others) in terms of hardware.
Apple does control *its own* smartphones, though. Consumers know this and choose that ecosystem.
