I know there's no where near as many nodes and it's a smaller more tight nit community with BCH compared to BCH but even so, if this fork had full support that's impressive.

Very interesting seeing the reaction to scammers from a new client and new community like BCH nostr, compared to a more established nostr client like primal. The BCH nostr scam was harvesting private keys with the promise of free BCH.
The primal scam was harvesting private keys with the promise of a free premium membership.
Essentially the same scam.
The BCH nostr devs put up a warning, people are sharing screenshots warning each other and muting the scammer account.
On primal, the scammer account is trending, no warning from primal devs. Only users warning each other.
Some of the older clients don't take new users into account. People are up to themselves to figure it out.

The admin behind the BCH nostr client are doing very good.
The same scam, but targetting primal users happened at the same time.
And on primal a trending page the scammer account and it's link is trending because everyone is sharing it warning that it's a scam haha.

The only issue with keys, if you share your private key, or lose it. That's it, your account is compromised or you can't get back in. No password recovery or changes.

Yes when he first showed up on the trending feeds and everyone were replying to everyone of his comments people genuinely thought all these new people were reply bots.
For some of the btc maxis with confirmation bias they're going to probably continue calling the entire community bots. First impressions have a big impact, of course most people are just happy to see nostr grow now they realise those users weren't bots.

Yakihonne and amethyst usually have good translation.
Can't fault BCH nostr considering a lot of clients don't have translation at all.

I have this theory that people with no imagination or creativity can't form personalised insults against other people, instead they project their own insecurities.
The heroism guy is oddly obsessed with accusing everyone of being "brown Muslims"
So I assumed he must have come from some conservative North African Muslim family living in USA.

The BCH community is new to nostr so it will take time for things to develop, for btc there's aqstr.com and other similar things where you can get paid for replying and sharing things.

Unfortunately they don't pay in BCH, only btc lightning zaps. But you can convert it on an exchange or maybe find other people on nostr to swap btc for BCH.

Yes that is the challenge, but as nostr grows with more people and more content it will continue to improve.
For your friends who are not interested in BCH but may be interested in the idea of nostr, there are different apps they can use.
The beauty of this being a protocol instead of a platform is that the relays allow different users from different apps to follow each other. Wisp is probably the most "Normie friendly" it lets google password manager remember the nsec. Then there's all kinds of other niche apps that are for all kinds of different things, fountain, v4v music, wavlake, etc. for music streaming and podcasts. There's zapstore and plebeian market for marketplace, random fitness apps and diet trackers, a few games, virtual pets, etc. all kinds of random stuff.

Yes I think it's a good idea, helps slow down spammers and scammers and gives them less reason to use BCH nostr. (Some nostr apps have a serious problem with spam and scammers and you they make hashtags totally unusable on those apps)
