in the retrocomputing community you can say some of the wildest shit like "I want to use a TRS-80 to control mechanical card displays to play a game of Tetris" and they're just like "that's rad as hell." And if you follow that up with "I don't know anything about programming or electronics", they'll reply with "right on man, sounds like a great opportunity to learn something new; here's some great resources, reach out if you have any questions"
