Sorry to hear you lost your Dad at such a young age. My Dad passed away in 2022 but he was 86 and in declining health. Still doesn't doesn't mean I miss him though.
Bizarrely, I was power washing the patio last week and spontaneously broke down in tears. My wife came out with a cup of tea and asked 'Hey, what's up ?'
So 'I Wish I Could Talk to My Dad' really struck home.

Used to deploy my SSG to GitHub/Netlify which is one-click and seamless.
Recently migrated to Codeberg for obvious reasons. While it's not self hosting but an improvement from my point of view as Codeberg have the right ethos IMHO.

If Oracle invent a new Oracle-Sans font that I have to install locally, does this mean that readers of the resulting document need that same font installed ? Shurely not ?

Weekend side project.
Inspired by @npub1huw…c5x7 successfully running a legal business (lots of documents) exclusively using Open Source software, I am going to convert Oracle Office 365 document template to LibreOffice Writer.
I am producing a *lot* of documents and O365 is doing my feckin' head in. Oracle's bloated templates aren't helping.
Weird stuff like paragraphs not wrapping correctly. Adding a column on to a table extends into infinity. And as for images, please don't ask.

Just 'upgraded' to 0.146.6 on Netlify and, inevitably, it fails to build. Works fine locally.

pods looks cool and appears to be a native Gnome application. Unlike podman-desktop, it doesn't use the bloatware known as Electron.
One of my favourite things about FOSS is choice. You don't like A. Fair enough. Feel free to choose to try B or C. Or even choose to write D.

Inspired by @npub1m7m…2e7k I am re-visiting #podman I'm a casual user (idiot) so really need a management GUI
I didn't really warm to podman-desktop but pleased to see I can use Portainer (although it needs some root privs). Will look at 'pods' too.
