Or maybe it's not the complexity, but rather I cannot learn by some abstraction, like I struggled to understand certain aspects of bitcoin and then someone explained to me the concept of UTXOs and I was like omg this is so much easier to understand now, a concept which is usually avoided being explained in order to simplify things. Another core unlock was when someone explained that you never hold your bitcoin, ever. You just hold the ability to access certain UTXOs on the chain or something like that, but this way of explaining things I find SO RARE and yet is so easy for me to understand.
