they lowered quality of ingredients, less cheese, raised prices, added a delivery fee plus worse delivery service plus tip.. minimum $30 for a below average pie. I get better results from $10 frozen pizza at the grocery store. 20 mins in the oven is actually faster too.

I don't understand the conflict between new catastrophists and Christianity. Work by Robert Shock and Graham Hancock and others document massive flooding events. It is geological evidence which align with both Christian and non-Christian stories from around the world.
He works backwards to cling to the 4000 years idea which is wrong.
I think the opposite is true. True history of human civilization is much older than we taught to believe. True or false, it is not dispositive of God.

sir, your assumption that no culture can be improved by another is historically false. The history of colonization is a story of the spreading knowledge and culture around the world. Local cultures were improved by this.
Are you telling me Jazz or Blues or even Rock and Roll have no value? They were born from cultural clash.
The California Roll would not exist without a Japanese sushi chef trying to sell to Americans. Now famous around the world. Is this not culture?

I agree. I think economy is growing, inflation is hot. Salaries are not keeping up. That forces good people to switch jobs when otherwise happy. Meanwhile AI causing a lot disruption. Strict immigration policies and visa pressure is reducing the amount of foreign workers. Another factor is the overuse of AI, especially poorly implemented, in the recruiting process. It is a whirlpool of change.

I trust the foreign capitalists because it is in their own self-interest for the resources to be properly maintained for the sake of their own profit. If they do a bad job, another capitalist will come and buy them out.
The point you make of foreign governments using capital as a weapon to destabilize is valid. The IMF and US govt do this via economic hidden. China does this in Africa.
Some protectionist measures can solve this.

I hear you. When the nation owns the resources, the man (or men) who gets control also profits from the resources.
I am against centralized pools of money. Even a large endowment left from a dead billionaire to an NGO is a treasure without a guard waiting to be exploited. At the state level the scale is infinite and no higher authority exists to prevent further corruption.
I just imagine if Halliburton owned everything. (Like Samsung in Korea.) It is a different form of hell.

2025-10-13 07:56:27 GMT

I cannot agree. Anything owned by the collective will eventually fall to disrepair and/or suffer from severe inefficiency in allocation of resources.
The concept can be implemented by selling rights on a marketplace to private owners who will take care of them. The public or nation can benefit from the profits of the sale or rents by distributing the funds. This is done in Alaska, Sweden, Saudi to good success.
Fully state controlled resource is just a different flavor of corruption.

I felt she was acting in her two big speeches following his death. She does this thing where she gets quiet and says the word very breathy and then repeats it. It seems to be a practiced fake way of simulating when a person is so choked up they can't speak. But she was obviously not choked up in that way.
I know it sounds so insensitive to a grieving widow. I just couldn't help but have a red flag about that. Something felt suspicious in my gut.
