Stuck my hand out to lean against a similar size tree and it didn't even offer any resistance: it just went. I was at the back of a large group of people and, very luckily, it fell away from them. And, as always this time of year, it was a bonanza of edible mushrooms. Chicken of the woods, cinnabar chanterelle, and regular chanterelle. I really miss living in that neighberhood and town, but got priced out. I haven't done that in a very, very long time but perhaps should again. We’ve now known for almost 20 years that flooding here is going to get worse. And it has. And we’re starting to have more forest fires here too. And their moving here makes the politics here more conservative and these things worse.
