Heard from our union president yesterday that no matter what happens with the Levy in my school district, there will be layoffs next year because our levy will be at the cap. They are borrowing money from capital funds to make payroll–they have to pay that back, with interest.
If the Levy doesn’t pass? 🫠

I think the biggest issue is that any repairs far outweigh the value of the building, and the building owner is awful. They tried to demand millions more than they were being offered when the state build the Amtrak and sounder station. The state declined and they refused to negotiate further. The state then came in and basically said if they didn’t accept the already inflated offer they would eminent domain the building and only pay its actual value, which was far less.

The sound transit preferred method for connecting the 1 line to tacoma involves a track design incompatible with freighthouse……They’re tearing all of it down. I’m not sure if it’s 100% decided, but I doubt it will change. They’re going to deliver the shittiest project for the cheapest cost because the sound transit board is stacked in king county’s favor.

The installation is harder, but if you can swing it: Unifi. I ran PoE to my doorbell, and it’s great. My HomePods are the chimes, because I’ve been too lazy to install the PoE chime. (Homebridge for HomeKit connectivity)

The iPadOS experience is a little lacking, is there a plan to implement multi-window support? I noticed some other issues, but haven’t spent time documenting them because I can’t use the browser when I’d doing anything more than casual browsing.

Termix didn’t require a client on each server when I had it setup. I just setup the docker container, and then added each host to the application, then clicked into the shell for each one. All of the monitoring features worked without a client being installed. It’s definitely heavier than a self hosted web based ssh client.

I read the first book, it did move fast, like every chapter was a new big event, there weren’t a lot of chapters of world/character building. Maybe book accurate is part of the problem?

It’s an ebook library app. It stores a lot of metadata, and can be setup to sync with my Kobo through the Kobo API. (It’s a bit of a process..)
The app itself it very pretty but it’s also…..terrible? I like it but my library isn’t that large.
