Last Notes npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…xtlc 是轻卡吗（ npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…tlrx The BASIC code shown on the in-game computer screen, when entered in a Commodore 64, generates a batman sprite that "flies" across the screen. @nprofile…zmtw This is why alt text is essential. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…p7lw In the case of encrypted message with unencrypted content it is quite literally impossible for homeservers to enforce anything without breaking encryption (which should be client-side anyway) or leaking more metadata. And no, I never suggested that other clients are not trustworthy (in fact spec compliance is the norm), and I am not arguing on T&S (in fact I fully agree with your point), but since you conceded I will not argue with you further. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…p7lw On one hand there is nothing preventing any user sending unencrypted anything (or encrypted message with unencrypted attachment like how Element handles forwards or thumbnail bots) into an encrypted room because it's not the homeserver's job to enforce it; on the other hand you're trying to present an edge case, that you do not know how to reproduce, as standard behaviour, per your blog post. So it is on you to prove it one way or the other, with all due respect. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…p7lw You'll have to show the evidence, because if I view source on an encrypted message and try to construct the download link from the MXC URI then it does give me an encrypted copy of the attachment. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…p7lw Major correction for Matrix: if you upload attachments into an encrypted room then the attachment is encrypted. If you forward an attachment from an unencrypted room to an encrypted one then it depends on client behaviour (Element only encrypts the message and reuse the unencrypted attachment, while some other clients will encrypt and reupload the attachment). URL previews are requested by clients on the fly; only the URL is sent to the server and it is not linked to messages. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…k4qv A little correction: no, you cannot migrate your posts across Mastodon instances. You can migrate your followings, (most) followers, and bookmarks (to some extent), however. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ A small green #RubberDuck above an exit sign at Borough Hall station in #Brooklyn. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…763t npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Sleeping on that hippo's mouth... npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ #MstdnParty and #MstdnPlus wants new #moderators! (Seems like they were trying to unload them from a rental truck for some event reception nearby?) npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ From #LongIslandCity, #Queens, it's #Manhattanhenge! npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…hc2n npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Spotted in #Chelsea: a #CyberTruck... with a rental #billboard behind the trunk... How #dystopic can this get??? npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Sorry for the recent inactivity (to the point that someone on Matrix thought I disappeared, showing how chronically online I was...), I'm now juggling between professional stuff (coursework and an on-campus dev job - busy but good) and insomnia (very bad), so am too eepy for the interwebz, but regardless I do still exist, so there's that. (I do hope someone could tell me how to fall asleep or get an internship...) npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ To my surprise one of my acquaintances (an undergrad student, even) offered me a #referral for #Meta, out of all companies... Says to collect 20 resumes for the recruiter... No judgment to my friend (they probably didn't know better) but how desperate is Meta right now??? (Meanwhile I still need a summer #internship... #GetFediHired) npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Happy #LunarNewYear! Since it is said that the #YearOfTheSnake means renewal and revitalization, I certainly hope the society can rise from whatever ashes that were left from the current blitz of negative changes... or lemme get a positive breakthrough for myself at least! npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…5lc3 LinkedIn has shut down the site for China in August 2021 (two months after the screenshot) and other operations in August 2023, so all due respect it probably doesn't do what you think it does. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Last meetup in #Montreal (with two friends) before leaving for NYC again. Tried vegan #food, complained about school (a little bit), verified each others' Signal & Matrix accounts, collaboratively wrote postcards for a few friends back in NYC, so on so forth. Regrettably a bit rushed - got awkward because of scheduling issues - but it was still worth it. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…ptqp Yeah, I've been there a decade ago (and even helped an old lady recharge her IC card - as a tourist!), it's complex but well-organized and reliable. Thru service between urban and suburban lines is especially an interesting concept. Though, I'd argue that the New York City Subway is more complicated, with planned and spontaneous reroutes, suspensions, skipped stations, local-to-express, express-to-local, plus reduced weekend frequency... So yes, there is a higher hill to climb out there. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ The Hive, the #artwork above the transfer staircase between Bleecker Street (6) and Broadway-Lafayette Street (B/D/F/M) stations. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ The people (with their #attire) on the past holiday nostalgia rides! npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ The Lackawanna #ClockTower at #Hoboken terminal. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ A #bird (ring-billed gull?) standing on a handrail south of #Hoboken terminal. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ More #photos from the Holiday Nostalgia Ride last Sunday, this time on looking out from #train #windows. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ A little #holiday #diorama inside #Hoboken terminal. The #train has derailed... (It's behind glass as well...) The state of #NJTransit in a nutshell... npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @nprofile…st8m I was on that train yesterday! Anyways, hopefully the R46s will be phased out by the R211s next year. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Water's Soul, the #sculpture at Newport Beach, #JerseyCity, overlooking the lower #Manhattan #skyline as if it's shushing #NewYorkCity. The spire of the One #WorldTradeCenter is hidden behind clouds on this gloomy Thanksgiving evening. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Automated tooling has now been installed on #MstdnParty and #MstdnPlus to address reports of #spam from and to the instances. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ As some of you might've known already, I'm now finally living alone (not financially) for a few weeks already. Unfortunately the supposed freedom gave way to that master's degree I'm pursuing... Anyways, now I #cook for myself - doubling as a mood adjustment exercise - so here are the two #noodles I've cooked (since I'm a sucker for noodles): a failed (but still tasting good) attempt at making Zha Jiang Mian, as well as some generic #pasta with bell peppers. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ ...and finally, a #kart race on Sixth Avenue, right next to a police car? npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ And of course, the #MTA #buses! npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @npub1grx…uxfe Yeah, unfortunately most of them are one-person or small-team projects. By the way, if you don't mind the optics, https://github.com/Pony-House/Client seems to be also quite similar to Discord. npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @npub1mes…xmwy 目前计划八月底会搬进Jersey City，请问纽约新泽西地区有香油转租或是转让家具的吗？有志同道合能线下见面的吗？接受群组邀请，也接受宝贵经验！谢谢！ npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ With regards to the utoots.com #scraper, the current information is as follows:[email protected] . npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ @npub1m29…khl9 How does it taste? npub19u622xmya6ak4ty9k993kltsjyv64wnt7fawcce00cwxeslccgfs8ddz83 Austin Huang ❤️ Recently got addicted to #Japanese #retail #store #songs. (Those been to Japan know they play shorter ones on loop especially in appliance stores, but here I mean full size.) Gotta say, they make capitalism sound good, literally. By the way, my personal favourite for now is Hello Sofmap World (both original Japanese and English "soul" versions). #music
