Last year we unveiled that money from the European Investment Fund was used to finance #Paragon, another Israeli spyware company.
Several months after [@apache_be](https://mastodon.online/@apache_be ) revealed this investment, the European Investment Fund decided it will no longer provide funding to spyware companies based outside the EU.
But @npub1w4r…8cxz EDRi believes that “no spyware company — regardless of whether it is Israeli, European, or from anywhere else – should receive public money from European taxpayers”.

Citizen Lab found that former Member of the European Parliament Stelios Kouloglou was hacked with #Pegasus #spyware while serving on the PEGA committee, which investigated Pegasus and other spyware abuses in Europe. Citizen Lab found that the attackers could have had access to confidential documents and committee deliberations.
Saskia Bricmont, coordinator of the PEGA committee and co-chair of the Parliamentary Interest Group against the Illegal Use of Spyware, believes it is “ high time that the @npub1m96…ag4y puts forward concrete proposals based on the recommendations issued by our committee of inquiry, starting with the introduction of very strict conditions for the use of spyware, and the creation of a European technology laboratory, modelled on Citizen Lab, to provide assistance to victims.”

Is this a real account?
Edit: it looks like it is, as Der Tagesspiegel reported (see comment below)

Has anyone written about / applied #DavidGraeber & #DavidWengrow's three basic forms of social #freedom to #technology and/or #SocialMedia? I'd love to read this.
- the freedom to escape one's surroundings and move away,
- the freedom to disobey arbitrary authority, and
- the freedom to reimagine and reconstruct one's society in a different form.

'Inside #Israel the far right embraced #Trump ’s comments as vindication of their long-term call for the expulsion of Palestinians from #Gaza and Jewish settlement.
In a radio interview legislator Limor Son Har-Melech described a vision of Jewish Israeli children playing in Gaza, Haaretz reported. Her party, Otzma Yehudit, would only return to the coalition government when “we see buses coming out” of Gaza carrying its Palestinian residents, she added.'

Soooo...
The #FreeOurFeeds GoFundMe currently stands at about $82.200.
Meanwhile #Pixelfed and #Loops crowdfunding has surpassed CA$ 100,000.
Is there any more news on the millions in funding #BlueSky is trying to raise with the help of Bain Capital Ventures?
