@nprofile…td70 i had been using castamatic's magic chapters function. then, suddenly, the episodes started showing up with chapters and i couldn't remember if i had told castamatic to generate the chapters (Thought i might be losing it, lol)

Observation. Leo has finally embraced Podcasting 2.0 and has added podcast: tags to his twit shows. basically, paid (ad-free) members get chapters and don't get the funding tag.
Paid Members get:
podcast:episode
podcast:transcript
podcast:chapters
podcast:person
unpaid subscribers get
podcast:funding
podcast:episode
podcast:transcript
podcast:person
Please excuse me if someone already mentioned this.

@nprofile…lm4c no. i used the mark all as listened so i could clear out everything i didn't get to listen to last year and left hanging around to, maybe someday listen. felt nice to have an easy mark all as listened.

Castamatic feature I just used to clear the slate for the start of the year. Then I went and unsubscribed from shows I had not been listening, but were still subscribed to.

looks to be successful. performed final reboot (for good measure) and awaiting node to finish syncing and bringing services online.
In the instructions here: https://community.umbrel.com/t/guide-cloning-or-migrating-ssd-hdd-windows/2509
this command was wrong:
sudo growpart /dev/sda1 1
should be:
sudo growpart /dev/sda 1
also, they don't tell you that the ssh username is umbrel
My total copy time was: 1:44:59
I would say that this could be done in under 2 hours depending on copy time and reboot & sync times.

If you want to see how your app handles "toc": false, check out the latest Fun Fact Friday or the latest No Agenda. These are the first 2 episodes, that I publish chapters for, that are using "toc": false for some of the chapters.
I spot checked a few apps: Castamatic & Podverse support it, PodcastGuru & Fountain do not yet support it.

@npub1ln5…xyw6 @npub1ta3…9zk5 obviously, Todd is the expert here but I do a lot with WordPress site hosting(not developing) and I suspect it depends on your host and what sort of caching they have. For instance, some of the sites I manage are hosted on HostGator they put caching engines in front of all of those sites that can be turned off or tuned down a bit for certain files/content.

@npub1dft…ta3d @npub1g6p…dgtx I did get the backup to run. It ran for about 6 hours. I ended up getting an SD card that was larger than the size of the one in my Pi and plugged it into a USB adapter and directly into the Pi. This was by far the “fastest” way to complete the backup. I then performed a full reinstall and restore to a new, larger, SD card to test the whole process and expand storage. I tried backups over the network to a share and they were so slow that I cancelled it.

@npub1ln5…xyw6 I keep bootable backup SD Card copies for all the Pi’s on my desk, 5 now. Just need to figure it out for this new 5th one running Start9 with IPFS Podcasting. I tried a straight copy of the card like I do with my other Pi’s, but one of the partitions failed. I’be now kicked off the built in backup in start 9 to do a backup to another SD card in a USB adapter, plugged into the Pi. It’s running right now.

2023-08-10 04:13:49 GMT

@npub1g6p…dgtx do you have any documentation as to what needs to happen when restoring a Start9, running IPFS Podcasting, from a backup, in a DR scenario? for instance, if/when the SD card fails. what needs to be done with the IPFS podcasting service to bring it back to life, without having to re-download all downloaded files? just trying to make sure I have appropriate backups in place should the SD card fail. It does happen from time to time.
