Combined with the horrific new DMV system in Minnesota the process is a serious pain. And I was born in Minnesota! Wait times are 3 to 4 times longer than with the older system. My wife gave up and will just use her passport to fly commercially.

How many clicks does it take to find your company’s list of company holidays? I swear that takes forever to find every time I look for it. The holiday calendar for our teammates in India comes up right away. I wonder if they are trying to tell us something?

I’m guessing they don’t care. It’s a small percentage of music listeners (I’d guess) that don’t just sign up for Spotify or Apple Music+ subscriptions. So yeah. I just buy CDs now and rip them.

Yeah. I gave up on fancy RAID setups. At the start of the pandemic (when I was feeling a bit more flush) I bought a SuperMicro “Superserver” similar to this one. Lots of bays for either spinning or SSD storage. Mine currently has 2 NVME sticks, 3 SSDs and 3 spinning disks. It runs Proxmox. So happy I found a good flying club in 1990. I’ve been on the Board since late 1990s so get a lot of input on how we maintain and upgrade our six aircraft fleet for a fraction of the cost of sole ownership. I’ve also been flight instructing for many years, so most often I’m actually getting paid to be in a plane. Duluth is a frequent destination, so maybe we’ll meet some day.

Absolutely agree that the position of email in the world of communication has certainly changed (diminished). As someone who administered and configured Email servers back when Internet connectivity was new and novel (1990’s and though the early 2000’s) I am more likely to be the old man yelling at clouds when it comes to my opinion on how email is, or should be or should NOT be) used. :)
