it drives me mad that almost all graphics are slop now. everything looks slightly uncanny. uncanny fever dream ice cream, uncanny fever dream coffee.

i'm happy now (and she as well last i know) but i'm pretty sure i could've married my teenage sweetheart and made it work. the more time to "date around", the more time to get your soul corrupted. even if it isn't spit roasting time. just by living in the modern world.
it's a pretty easy calculation.
it won't be "teenage love" forever, but something much better if everyone involved puts in the work according to the oath. oaths are fulfilled at all cost.

bsd people apparently still haven't noticed that there are quite a few gnu/linux distributions without systemd and wayland optional.
idk. i only like netbsd anyway 🤷‍♀️
hoping for the hurd :)

german politicians got sweet-talked into buying nvidia bullshit for AI xD "oh, you are so far behind, just buy our stuff and you'll be someone again!!!"
it almost hurts how hard the politicians here are played by everyone. i usually assume malice, not incompetence, but malice usually tries to hide.

most disheartening to me is how few people understand that if you want nice people to continue existing (NB: nice brown people do exist as well) you have to clean your society from assholes.
with extreme prejudice. like death squadron level. what is the fucking moral problem with just shooting the damn looters and arsonists on the fucking spot? in a sane world it would be legitimate self defense anyway.

2026-10-11 08:15:25 GMT

great, i have a stomach flu kinda thing.

extrapolate what happens in other areas. guns, automobiles, etc.
with the adobe and sony things they WILL rule that software has to prove that it wasn't generated using copyrighted material (impossible because they used everything they could get their hands at) and hence every software that was done while LLMs existed will be considered proprietary. this will be a giant threat to free software. government and industry want to kill free software since forever. now they have a good chance to.

2026-10-09 20:00:15 GMT

it's funny that after 10-15 years of "progressives" appropriating everything, chuddies are appropriating harry potter and it's a giant outrage :)

> news article about the brave train personnel of ukraine
you fuckers, they do it because they'd get insta-drafted for the front if they quit.

the only truly good "web applications" are the ones without dynamic shit. forms and links just work.

ffs, some obviously deranged 3rd world migrant just walked out of the local supermarket. it's so over.

because the people got more psychotic, not the llms better :>
honestly, it's the same as with the coof. early 2020 people told me it's a nothingburger, a few months later (when obviously not everyone was going to die..) they were full crazies loving lockdowns and masks and mrna.
just needs enough media pumped into their brain.

@conceptualjames that's the exact argument why it's banned in germany.
don't be germany.

why is the german minister of education visiting ukraine.
yes.

2026-10-02 21:14:30 GMT

slight suspicion that slop enjoyers are knowing it's not good for them given how defensive many react.

2026-10-02 21:07:53 GMT

lobsters users be like:
> As a child for whom social media when I was 12 and 13 in 2020 was a major part of discovering my identity as a queer person, this sort of legislation always rubs me the wrong way.
that's many words for "got groomed" and the "egg got cracked".
of course the legislation is 100% to kill off kids getting the wrong political ideas, 0% to protect kids.

"i have crippling depression!"
light fedi, full of "humanists": "you are perfect the way you are! i fucking love depression! you go gurl!!1"
dark fedi, full of the worst people imaginable: "shit sucks, but you are not your depression. [insert nice things]. just do nice stuff and eventually it will get better!"

most ridiculous concept: abandoning some healing practice because no scientific proof exists even when it reliably helps and has helped, sometimes over millenia.
"computer says no" levels of malice and ignorance.

@npub1je4…pqlp @npub1ttc…m0da so, if i understand correctly, as the government decided it was fine, it was your own decision. you weren't under legal pressure to do so, you decided that morally it's the right thing to do.
which is fine, i appreciate it. i like people deciding for themselves.
it isn't being forced-with-threat-of-violence though. you weren't going to face legal trouble when someone got covid in your class (could never be pinned to you anyway, as govt. decided to "let it rip").

@npub1je4…pqlp @npub1ttc…m0da is it your (and only yours) task to determine if covid posed a thread to students, or was it your own free decision?

@npub1la6…0lcr it really is one of the best. tf2 is nice, but too polished with "no build" zones etc. i also love glitches and unintended stuff in games, those reward being clever.
