BRISTOL REPORTBACK (via Bristol Antifascists & Stand Up To Racism UK): over 300 Bristol antifascists kettled 30 fascists in town centre on Saturday, trapping them in-place until the police escorted them out of the area.
In the words of Bristol Antifascists: "Holy shit Bristol! We fucking smashed it today! Nazis can fuck off out of Bristol! 'Bristol Patriots' are pathetic, embarrassing scum. Bristol is antifascist!"

Hey, remember that time in 1938 when Britain's Neville Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler and, being convinced that ol' Adolf just wanted Czechoslovakia and nothing else (despite the anchluss of Austria a few months before), signed the Munich Agreement, which basically allowed the nazis to invade Czechoslovakia?
And then Chamberlain returned to England having just signed the Munich Agreement and told crowds in London the Agreement meant "peace in our time?"
Not sure why that's come to mind lately.
Also, why is Greenland in the news so much lately? Is something happening?

A key component of Nazi ideology was the concept of lebensraum, or "living space." This was the idea that the so-called Aryan people of Germany needed more territory (and the resources that came with it) for their "natural development."
Lebensraum was the basis the Nazis used to justify the invasion of Poland and the rest of Europe shortly thereafter.
Posting this for no reason in particular, obviously.

(via @workingclasshistory): On this day, 28 November 1919, Faye Schulman, photographer and Jewish resistance partisan, was born in Lenin, Poland (now Belarus). In 1942, the Nazis murdered 1,850 Jews in the Lenin ghetto, leaving only Faye and 25 others alive, making Faye take and develop photos of the massacre. Covertly she made copies of the photographs for herself. She soon fled and joined the partisan resistance, serving as a fighter and nurse. While on a raid in Lenin with her unit, Faye managed to retrieve her camera equipment, and then began documenting the resistance movement, developing her photos under blankets. "I want people to know that there was resistance. Jews did not go like sheep to the slaughter. I was a photographer. I have pictures. I have proof." Faye survived the war and moved to Toronto, Canada, living to the age of 101.
May her memory be blessing.
May her life be an example.

We of course our honored that the likes of Glenn Beck woke up from whatever delusional fever dream he was having to decide that our tiny social media collective = ringleaders in the secret global antifascist cabal. We don't think we're worthy of being placed in the same category as the incomparable National Lawyers' Guild (who have been doing incredible work for over 90 years - check out the episode of Margaret Killjoy's podcast Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff devoted to them!) or the prison abolitionists Community Justice Exchange, but we'll do our best to live up to their examples of fighting for equality, justice, and solidarity.

This right here. Taking hundreds and hundreds of unique and distinctive peoples and lumping them all together as "white people" erases their unique and distinctive histories, geographies, languages, and cultures. The irony is that the people proclaiming "white pride" and advocating for "white nationalism" (by which they always really mean white supremacy) actually harms the peoples and cultures they claim to care so goddamn much about, by wiping out the valuable distinctions and uniqueness of each of those peoples and cultures.

89 years ago today, a loudspeaker van carrying UK fascist leader Oswald Mosley and a tiny contingent of his Blackshirts arrived in Tonypandy, Wales.
Mosley has hoped that his (loudly) broadcast message of hatred and division would attract new recruits. Instead, about 6000 Welsh antifascists pelted him and his bodyguards with rocks and debris as he attempted to address the crowd, forcing the fascists to turn tale and flee for their lives, after less than half an hour.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!
Eleven years ago this month, some anti-fascists on Tumblr wrote to each other to put together a collective account dedicated to reporting on anti-fascist activities around the world, supporting anti-fascists, and promoting the tenets of anti-fascism however they could.
Since June 2014, Antifa International has expanded to reach over 142,000 people every month across nine different social media platforms. In that time, we've also raised tens of thousands of dollars to help anti-fascist crews around the world to fund their work fighting hate.
We've also put together some projects of international anti-fascist collaboration that we're especially proud of. This June also marks the 10th anniversary of The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund, which we started in 2015 to provide emergency support to anti-fascists facing real trouble as a direct result of their anti-fascist work. Over the past decade, the Defence Fund has doled out more than $270,000USD to help out over 800 anti-fascists in 26 different countries.
Then there's The International Day of Solidarity with Anti-Fascist Prisoners - every July 25th we call on anti-fascists around the world to show solidarity with our comrades who've been locked up for the "crime" of standing against bigotry and fascism. We accept contributions for anti-fascist prisoners and their families year 'round and very July 25th we make sure they receive those funds, to help make their lives a bit easier while they're serving time.
We also maintain the Death To Fascism website as a place anti-fascists can find resources and materials to help them in their work. Artwork, flyers, 'zines, how-to guides - it's all their for you to read, download, print, and share!
We do all of this (and more) on a strictly unpaid, unfunded, volunteer basis. You could too! There are lots of things you can do to promote and support anti-fascism! In fact, here's a list of 30 antifa actions you could choose from to start with. Don't like any of those ideas? Then here are 40 more!
If you'd like to help us celebrate our birthday(s), take an antifascist action this month and dedicate it to us! Or make a donation to the International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund! Or to the Anti-Fascist Prisoner Support Fund! Or support a specific antifa crew by picking up one of their shirts!

Yesterday, the women's teams for Clapton Community & Dulwich Hamlet Football Clubs were to play in the London & South East Regional Women's League trophy final. Hundreds of supporters from both teams traveled to Maidstone to attend the match, hosted at Gallagher Stadium (owned by Maidstone United FC).
Clapton - a club whose home ground was the first in the UK to be recognized as an apartheid free zone - continued their long-standing tradition of showing support for the Palestinian people by flying Palestinian flags from the stands. Maidstone supporters matched the effort with an enormous banner reading SHOW GENOCIDE THE RED CARD.
This wasn't just a trophy final. It wasn't just the last match of the season for both teams. It was the last chance for trans women on both sides to play football, after the Football Association's transphobic ban against trans athletes, which takes effect on June 1st.
The match was going along smoothly and Clapton was up 2-0 when, 20 minutes in, something unprecedented happened. In the words of the Clapton players:
“Today, 32 women were denied the opportunity to play the L&SERWFL Trophy final.
About 20 minutes into the match, both Clapton and Dulwich supporters were approached by a representative of of Maidstone United, Gallagher Stadium owners. He demanded that our supporters must stop waving the Palestinian flag, and the Dulwich supporters must take down their banner which read ‘Show genocide the red card.’
After both groups of supporters refused, a league official walked on to the field of play to stop the game. In a discussion with the match officials, players and coaches, he communicated that we could not use the ground while both the Palestinian flag and the banner were displayed.
Our given options were to 1) play the game behind closed doors or 2) to abandon the game. Clapton’s players chose to abandon the game. Both sets of fans then came together in solidarity with the Palestinian people, singing more songs and holding up our banners in support of trans women and the Palestine people, respectively.
Our players and fans are united in their support and concern for Palestinians who are being bombed daily. Showing that support with a flag or banner is no reason to abandon a cup final."
With that, the Clapton players climbed into the scaffolds to join the supporters, soon followed by Dulwich Hamlet supporters who brought their banner over. Both teams & supporters united in defiance of the attempt to silence their support for the Palestinian people and their opposition to genocide.
The Football Association - that same body that banned women from playing football for fifty years and has now banned trans athletes from playing football effective June 1st - have declared the Cup void and will not award it to either team nor schedule a rematch. They have also threatened both Dulwich Hamlets and Clapton Community FCs with discipline.
In the words of Dulwich supporters Pepper Army:
"Sport has long played an important role in putting pressure on governments perpetuating human rights abuse - from South Africa during the apartheid era to Russia since its invasion of Ukraine. Those who argue that political protest does not belong in sport are either ignorant or are deliberately ignoring that history this is particularly true in the women's game access to the game has always been political and, even now, women continue to fight for the right to play football.
We don't protest at our games because we think one protest in a regional football competition will change what is happening in Gaza. But we do it knowing that every protest joins a drum beat of defiance that is slowly convincing the world it cannot ignore the daily murders perpetuated by the state of Israel.
We are proud of the behavior of Dulwich Hamlet fans today and we are equally proud to join hands with the fans of Clapton CCFC, who have already done so much to shine a spotlight on the plight of the past on the Palestinian people.
History will judge us. Let us all be able to say we're on the right side."
In the words of Clapton supporters Clapton Punks:
"Clapton Punks have always had a huge respect for the women's team but the actions yesterday have elevated this to a new level. We are so fucking proud of you. In Maidstone we stood together behind our shared moral principles without compromise against the whimsical prejudices of some rich stadium owners and their flimsy objections to a flag."

Another day, another five defendants charged with fabricated crimes after preventing their neighbours from being hauled off in a bus to a prison barge to await deportation go free, after all charges are dropped in court!

Throwback Thursday!
In 1944, the Office of Strategic Services (predecessor to the CIA) put out this sabotage manual for civilians living in Europe under Nazi occupation. This manual was only de-classified in 2008.
It's an important piece of anti-fascist history, offering a fascinating look at what everyday, average citizens were being asked to do to resist fascist rule and work towards liberation.

We'd like to introduce you to Australian scumbag and National Socialist Network leader Joel Davis, who has recently gained notoreity for also publicly calling for the rights of 14-year-old girls to marry adult men - so long as they have their father's permission, of course!
News story: https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=AAWEB_WRE170_a_GGL&dest=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adelaidenow.com.au%2Ftruecrimeaustralia%2Fpolice-courts-sa%2Fi-dont-care-what-the-law-says-nsn-figure-joel-davis-advocates-for-child-marriage%2Fnews-story%2F2479eca39a2ad84e001a9277c0950c15&memtype=anonymous&mode=premium&v21=GROUPA-Segment-1-NOSCORE
Joel joins our ever-growing list of bigots, fascists, and far-right extremists who also happen to be child molestors, pedophiles, child pornography enthusiasts, groomers, and child sex proponents (trigger warning for sexual violence against children):

2025-02-01 14:32:30 GMT

This month, we're launching the Anti-Fascist Action Of The Month Challenge, where we call on you to take an anti-fascist action! February's challenge: Show Them Where You Stand!
-Wear an anti-fascist pin, patch, shirt, or hat.
-Put up an anti-fascist poster or sign.
-Fly an anti-fascist flag.
-Do something to show people that you oppose fascism and stand with the people targeted by fascists.
This action may seem small and insignificant, but it does three important things:
1. It tells fascists and far-right goons that there is opposition in the area, which may be enough to make them think twice about taking action in your community.
2. It also lets the people in your community who are targets of fascist abuse and violence that they have allies and supporters nearby who will back them up if they need help.
3. It encourages other people who feel the same way you do to be open, public, and vocal about their opposition to bigotry and fascism.
But Is It Safe?
We don’t know you or where you live, so we’re going to trust you to do what you feel comfortable with here. That said, we asked the member of our own collective who is most frequently out around town wearing antifa shirts or hoodies about his experience. Here’s what he said:
”I’m a uhhh how shall I put this? A larger and more substantial looking individual. I’m also white cis/het. It’s not uncommon for people to mistake me for a cop! So it’s possible that my experience wearing antifa gear has been different because people are less likely to try to mess with me. That said, after wearing antifa shirts, hoodies, pins and the like everywhere, I have to say that the number of people/strangers who’ve reacted very positively outnumbers the negative reactions I’ve seen by 10 to 1! I can only think about two or three times I’ve had a negative reaction, and those times it amounted to nothing more than staring at me disapprovingly.”
OK, So Where Do I Get Antifascist Stuff?
You could make your own stuff! If you’re looking for ideas, check out our photo archive for some inspiration!
https://antifainternational.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/photo
If you’re less crafty, you might want to buy some antifascist stuff to display. Best place to get stuff is from a group doing antifascist work and selling stuff to fund their work. You’ll find a list of some of those groups here:
https://antifainternational.tumblr.com/post/175342076358/best-places-to-get-antifa-gear
Our collective have been selling anti-fascist shirts and hoodies and donating the proceeds directly to specific antifascist groups and causes for a few years now - you’ll find our online shop here:
https://www.bonfire.com/store/antifa-international-official-apparel/
The next best place to get stuff is from businesses run by antifascists and/or support antifascist groups to one extent or another. We have some examples of places worth checking out here:
https://antifainternational.tumblr.com/post/175342076358/best-places-to-get-antifa-gear
The one kind of place we would not recommend buying antifa gear from is for-profit operations that aren’t contributing back to the movement. These compete directly with anti-fascist groups trying to fundraise but pocket all the money they collect. If you’re unsure where the money is going, ask the place you’re considering buying from and then verify with the group(s) they say they donate proceeds to (if they say that they do).
We’d love to see how you took on this month’s antifa action - if you feel safe doing so, please feel free to send us some photos (we don’t need to see your lovely face or other identifying features if you’re shy/security conscious)! Let us know if it’s OK for us to share the photos or if you want us to keep ‘em to ourselves.
What If I Don’t Like This Antifa Action Of The Month?
No problem - feel free to skip ahead and choose one of the other 29 actions we came up with! Or go with one of the 40 actions from 40 Ways To Fight Fascists. Or go completely off-book and come up with your own action!

HAPPY ERIC CANTONA DAY!
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace match during which Man Utd. star Eric Cantona responded to a sieg heiling National Front/British National party supporter Matthew Simmons' racial abuse with a flying kick!
Asked about the incident two decades later, Cantona said “I didn’t punch him strong enough. I should have punched him harder.”
Still a dedicated humanitarian and anti-racist, Cantona has personally housed and feed a refugee family in his own home for two years.
To celebrate this momentous anniversary, we have printed a limited run of this image as stickers and we'll send you a pack of 30 in exchange for a donation to The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund! DM us for details!

"Fascism is being afraid. Fascism is fear bossing you. Fascism is worse than all of these things. Fascism is closer to you than I can make you see. I'm trying to wake you up, telling you that you're sleeping with something and tell you that you're sleeping with something ten times more dangerous than a poison-fanged snake in your bed. If fascism does come and it does kill me, well, then you add me alone onto the hundreds of millions which fascism has already dusted and it don't scare me so very much."

These four devilish anti-fascists were arrested in May after heroically preventing the authorities from transporting a busload of asylum seekers to a prison barge. Yesterday, all charges against them were dropped! Thus ends the second trial of the 50+ arrestees from the action and so far it's anti-fascists 2 authorities 0!

This past August and after a horrific stabbing attack that left three children dead, fascists incited racist mobs in the UK to riot, leading to widespread violence, injuries, and the destruction of mosques, refugee shelters, and homes across the country.
In response, anti-fascist groups mobilized to defend their communities, including one asylum seeker who joined a counter-protest to confront the bigots, who then pelted him and his friends with rocks & other objects. When he threw back a projectile in self-defence, the coppers waved in, arresting him!
Now our friend is serving a prison sentence of several months! To support him, The International Defence Fund helped cover his rent to prevent homelessness upon his release, underscoring the community's solidarity.

That time when dozens of people in south London heard their refugee neighbours were being rounded up to be put on a prison barge, so they went out and physically surrounded the bus until everyone was released!
Also that time when 44 of the people who joined this amazing anti-racist action were arrested & charged by police!
Also that time when The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund stepped in to help pay for lawyers for the arrestees, which has resulted in all charges being dropped for the first five of the arrestees to stand trial!
