Nach fast 40 Jahren habe ich noch mal wieder bei der Bibliothek angemeldet.
Es scheint auch unglaublich viele digitale Angebote zu geben, von Büchern über Zeitschriften bis hin zu Musik und Filmen.

Arrgh your were right, I'm sorry! There IS a Gallery app on GrapheneOS but it was deactivated. Not sure if I did it (probably mixed it up with something else) or if it was deactivated by default.

I went with Gallery nevertheless, because Fossify Gallery has a horrible editing flow. It's like they formed the code and then removed all the good UX stuff and replaced it with half cooked options some junior developer in their first year could do better.
So, thanks for pointing me at Gallery!

gallery misses some tools that I like to use (sharpen, selectively enhance shadows etc), while Image toolbox seems quite powerful but buggy (it displayed only half of my image, I couldn't zoom out or move it into the viewport etc)

"Camera" is just the camera (and I use the Pixel Camera without network access for better quality), the editor capabilities must be provided by a separately installed gallery app

there is no default editor in GrapheneOS. It has a camera, but for editing you need to install a separate editor.

I've got a Pixel 9 Pro with GrapheneOS.
Unfortunately my up-to-now preferred FOSS photo editor (Simple Gallery Pro, SGP) has a bug on this phone that prevents saving edited images (it worked on my old phone).
Meanwhile SGP has been sold to a shady ad marketer. The FOSS fork (Fossify Gallery) doesn't contain the advanced editor that I loved.
The bug in the FOSS version of SGP will not be fixed, and there seems to be no other editor that offers my most used options. 😩

Ich schaue gerade die #Tagesthemen von gestern.
Die Nachricht "bei VW und Mercedes ist der Nettogewinn um über 40% zurückgegangen" wird präsentiert, als wären die Konzerne pleite und die Gesamtwirtschaft hart vor dem Kollaps.
Wohlgemerkt: "Nettogewinn".
Nicht Umsatz, sondern _Gewinn_ nach Steuern etc.
Es wurden also wieder Milliarden € Gewinn gemacht. Einige Menschen werden wieder viel reicher, während anderswo Menschen verhungern.
Das illustriert die Prioritäten im Kapitalismus.
