And it would be fiendishly complicated to develop. I'd rather have better passenger rights for missed connections npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…f0jw @nprofile…y789 I think they do, but it's based on the time to walk (slowly) from train to train. It doesn't understand the passenger rights situation or how likely you are to be delayed npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…44dh Is this the sort of work that can (in theory) be done with smaller, specialised models? If so I'd say use the big models for now and work towards having more specialised models when you're not in a critical situation. It's OK to use something bad if that's the only option, you recognise the problem, and you're looking to minimise it where possible npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…9xhj Every time I sleep in a dormitory, there's someone who gets up at 6am to rearrange their collection of plastic bags npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…a4ar @nprofile…kd5e @nprofile…cwrp @nprofile…aw7e I don't have time to learn and master every new tool someone wants to sell in order to decide if it's useful. Just "it was working when I brought it in, now it's not; therefore you need to fix it, not give me a partial refund". But if the computer was dead on arrival, they probably could pull out the (good) RAM and then say that the computer isn't repairable. Accidents can happen too, I'd expect the store to be insured (or self insured) to cover this sort of thing. Not tell the customer they need to source and install their own parts npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…lxup When do you think platforms should be renumbered if they get added or removed? I'd say usually avoid renumbering existing platforms, but you can get anomalies. I've seen a couple of "platform 0"s, which makes me imagine a "platform -1" 🙂 npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…c5n8 "Yo dawg, we heard you like mandatory reservations, so we put a mandatory reservation on booking your mandatory reservation" npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…plek Her husband as in the Mr. Benz who founded the car company? In some ways I like the idea that we could get some more trams in a country that's notoriously reluctant to build any kind of rail outside of London, but I also worry that it would lead to investing too much in a cheap technology that's difficult to expand on npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…4vdp I don't want to say too much before it happens, but maybe the session after next my #Pathfinder game will return to some sub plots that haven't come up for ages, and tie them into the main story. Aside from capacity at St Pancras, I think London is a good place for most people to change and there wouldn't be a market for through trains from (say) Leeds to Köln, so it's better to expand the options on just one side of the channel. But I may be biased as someone with direct trains to St Pancras. I'd like to see better, and guaranteed, connections for everyone. npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…c5n8 Catching fire sounds a good fit for the channel tunnel npub1c0r8k78j3ehzujfdhguk55extxc47nu9tjwefm67k934mn7c55xqpl8dwg Trantion @nprofile…c5n8 @nprofile…09up it doesn't completely avoid night trains, if I ask for a trip from the UK to Bergen it recommends the Hamburg to Stockholm sleeper.
