I would have preferred a manual transmission but even in Toyotas, for the American market, they're hard to find. We have a 15 year old automatic 4WD Tacoma and it is the best. It's our dream to have a HiLux.

I have no respect for Charlie Kirk but I'm praying for him. ☦️
Right before I logged on and read about this I was thinking how normies react to monstrous nigger murders of innocent whites like Irina and Cannon Hinnant with "Oh, that wasn't about race. He was mentally ill." You can see them soothing themselves with this nonsense, just breezily washing their hands of it all and going about their day. They will say this boomer murderer was mentally ill and those magic words will make them forget about everything.

I think Western Washington is a pretty sweet location for growing a lot of things. Definitely plant them mid-October, but also look up the specific tips for growing elephant garlic because garlic classes are different in planting time and harvest time. I buy mulch from a town landfill about an hour away. It's $4/cu yd which is great but the gas and time hauling it have to be factored in. I hired a dump truck to bring me 13 yds one year for $300.

I have nothing but doubts about my ability to grow any kind of edible thing. Usually what happens is I spend hundreds of dollars and months painstakingly keeping things watered in the 100° heat with high, hot, drying winds, only to be rewarded with like two cucumbers or okra pods or whatever it is. Forget even trying to grow anything but grape tomatoes in Central Texas, even if it's in a raised bed with perfect soil. Meanwhile my flowers and flowering vines and foliage plants that I use in floral arrangements do great, re-seeding themselves and thriving all over the property.

I'm kind of over being intensely concerned with what I eat, but I do avoid goyslop, never drink sodas, and make almost all my meals at home from simple ingredients. It's all so crazy, but fortunately I'm old enough that my mom taught me how to cook and eat simply. Maybe it's not so simple because I spend a fair amount buying a certain kind of rice grown only in Louisiana (right next door practically) and flour grown and milled in Texas, meat raised and butchered locally, etc. I don't have a big variety in my diet.
HOWEVER. Kettle Brand Salt and Vinegar potato chips are my downfall. I could happily go without chocolate for the rest of my life but I have to have these at least once a month.

I bought cones for processing my chiggens and they were too small. When culling roosters we developed a two person method where my husband got them by the feet and swung them in a couple of big circles, which stuns them so they quit struggling. He grabbed the head and stretched the neck and I lopped their heads off with a tree lopper used only for that. we put them in a bucket to do their flopping there.

In better times young women wore their hair long and loose, to highlight their fresh beauty, and started putting it up once they got married. My grandmother (born at the turn of the last century) kept her hair long but always put it up until the 40s, when it became vogue to cut it above the shoulders and have it set at the beauty salon every week. It was a class thing as much as anything else, showing you had the time and money to do that. I always went with her to her appointment and I thought it was a fascinating place. My mom cut her hair short and kept it that way to the end, but hers was very curly and she found it easier to manage short. She was so beautiful it didn't detract from her. I am doing that GenX thing where I don't dye my gray, and keep it semi-long. I wear it loose about 30% of the time, mostly I put it up, so I'm coming full circle.

> I wonder how they square the Israel circle in orthodoxy.
SO GLAD YOU ASKED
Lemme see if I can give something approximating a tl;dr. God knew when He created us we would misuse our will and fall. The Law of Moses (what people think the jews abide by, but they don't) was the remedy He gave to heal man of the sickness of sin. Israel was to lead all of mankind in repentance back to God--that is the source of all this "chosen" business--but instead they whored after strange gods, or reduced their faith to a set of complex rules that had to be followed punctiliously. In due time He came to dwell among us, was incarnated, and began to preach. The jews rejected him deliberately and killed him. He knew they would do this. He warned them about what would happen. They wanted a strong man of war and a gifted political leader that would overthrow Rome, just as people want something like this now. They could not believe the Messiah came telling them they couldn't get divorced, couldn't lust after strange women, and that they must give up their attachment to worldly things and turn the other cheek to violence. Then, as now, this was not the message people wanted to hear. So they killed him. After this, God was finished with them.
When Christ rose from the dead, and ascended bodily, his disciples went out on His orders (ordination) and preached the Gospel of Life. A people was born that wanted to hear this word. Some were jews and some were gentiles. This is the new Israel: us. We are living out the story begun in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament. The people that call themselves jews are wasreal. Their entire identity for 2,000 years is based on rejecting God and refusing to repent.
That's as short as I can make it.
Deacon Ezra Ham lays out the Biblical case for this in Finding the Church Jesus Built. Having been Anglican, I was not raised with the dispensationalist heresy, but I still needed to be spiritually j-pilled. Deacon Ezra's teachings were invaluable in understanding all this.
You should come to Liturgy, Vulpes. We would love to have you.

There's something about the Southern evangelical world that is aggressively, rigidly conformist to a distinctly amerikwan norm that has been transmitted via media for 50 years at least. I notice at my Orthodox church that the evangelical converts all worship blacks, Israel, and greed (capitalism) and don't see anything weird about it at all. Those same evangelical women are incredibly status obsessed and will cut any woman who might threaten their endless climb to the top of the little church ladder. The converts who were simply previously unchurched are 1000% nicer.

later in the day the apri-nigger was caught dragging a huge unopened bag of tortilla chips into his lair
I have never in my life known a cat that would take food and secrete it in another, unused place in the house

today in the Depredations of Apri-Nigger, he managed to drag the entire package of tortillas I bought to make enchiladas into the guest bedroom (his pirate lair) where he was working on destroying them when my husband happened to walk by

it's Hatch chile time! :pepper_peek:
I roasted them, then threw them in this tupperware to cool and steam at the same time, makes them much easier to peel

I love them both!
If you ever run across any McCoy Pottery Floraline vases at thrift stores or antique malls, they're as good or better than anything currently being made for flower arrangements. I found one like this for $6 and it is my favorite.

I always hear it said that Southern English is the closest to England English but we sound terrible compared to y'all. I mean, a Texas accent is beautiful to my ear because these are my people, but I don't expect anyone else to find it mellifluous.

down here in Texas some people call them buggies. I think it's sweet that the electric jew hasn't erased all traces southern speech.

I bought some Floret seeds with great excitement a few years ago and then didn't plant any because I garden under Old Testament conditions and I didn't have a bed prepared.
Last fall I finally planted the sweet peas in a raised bed. They didn't do well. Some ppl manage to grow them in Texas but I've never had the slightest luck. The pennycress also did nothing. But zinnias are easy.

Floret is offering some of their own cultivars for sale starting September 9. They sell out FAST and this year I'm going to jump on it early.
