Who do you think will be the first/next big name non-bitcoiner joining nostr?

I just realized that I could revive my Twitter stream api social graph project here on #nostr which I had to stop developing when Elon put the api behind paywall 🤔

Kiitos! Awesome that you are visiting Helsinki :) You should go to sauna if you are in Finland. Löyly is quite popular and cool. If you want old school experience visit Kotiharjun sauna!

Try carbonated water next time you feel like drinking soda. Helped with my addiction 😅

Haha no but it seems like a good option if you want to use something else than React 🐱

Hello, I'm a developer from Finland and joined few days ago. I'm quite impressed about nostr and impact it could have on how we approach social media, privacy and censorship. I'm getting similar vibes when Bitcoin first clicked for me.

X is becoming new Facebook imo. Yes there will be still people around but innovative and engaging people will eventually migrate away to better alternatives. This creates hype and fomo.

Looking for good blogs and tutorials for building bots for nostr. I have few project ideas that could be useful.

Nothing specific but What Bitcoin Did is having interesting guests lately. Also if you have not listened to Gloria Zhao interview there I highly recommend it.

We need more empathy. I hope nostr can be a tool for that. Legacy social media companies use algorithms to create polarization among us and reduce empathy between people who have different ideas about life and politics. Let's try to change that.

Agreed. I would add that it's not just state but the CEOs as well. People don't like how much Zuckerberg and Musk have power on enforcing rules on speech. Doesn't matter if it's deliberate or pressure from state, investors etc.

First realization after using nostr. Ads on Twitter/X are now more annoying where they embed them along posts and it takes you a short moment to realize you are reading an ad.

What are the best talks, blogs, repos etc to start learning about the tech side of nostr?

Just watched your talk and really enjoyed it! I'm still new to nostr and learning and exploring the ecosystem.
