This is amazing. Thank you for doing this.

#Utopia for the #GlobalNorth only is no true utopia. This is something we need to confront in #solarpunk. We need to fundamentally expand our #imagination.

Our tomatoes have been growing, but they keep getting eaten or rotting before they're ripe. I'm starting to pick them early to get ahead of that, but then they're not nearly as flavorful.

Everyone knows the names of Lionel Messi and Javier Milei, and maybe Juan Perón and Domingo Sarmiento. We should also know Diego Maradona, Dominga Lucía Molina, Félix Díaz, and Roby Santucho.

With so much attention on #Argentina due to the #WorldCup, it's important to distinguish between the #white #capitalist pro- #USA #elite mostly in #BuenosAires, and the rest of the country. The experience, ideology, and #history of that elite is not representative of the average Argentine. Most Argentines are brown, poor, and left-leaning.

The #sister of the #President of #Ireland has been #kidnapped and taken #hostage by #Israel.
How is this not getting wall-to-wall #coverage on every #news outlet? How is there not an #international #military operation to bring her back?
A #genocidal state kidnapped a #family member of a head of state. That sort of thing is usually considered an act of #war.
She is also a #medical #doctor.

#AbigailThorne started Philosophy Tube to give away her #philosophy #degree for #free after tuition went up. Her early videos were all the content from her degree.
Now that I have my #physics degree, I want to do something like that. You can get a decent physics #education from #online materials already, but it mostly doesn't go past freshman/sophomore level.
#Imagine if someone did that for every degree.

You should not need to be told, in 2026, why #capitalism and #liberalism are bad.
#PrivateProperty, #WageLabor, and #commodity #production are inherently #exploitative and #competitive, and always lead to #crisis, #inequality, and #imperialism.
The #progressive unfolding of #history toward #metaphysical #rights of the #individual to own, buy, and sell #property (assured by the #state of course) is a #narrative tool that diverts us from #ClassConsciousness and idealizes exploitation.

Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (www.apnature.org) is an organization across the #Levant, including Palestine, that I learned about from #researching this zine. They explicitly reject #normalization with #Israel, in accordance with the #thawabet.
Across Palestine, they have planted home #gardens with native crops like za'atar, jasmine, sage, citrus, and grapes. They have restored #water wells, incuuding one from #AncientRome. And they have planted and protected olive trees.

Marj Ibn 'Amer (meaning Meadow of the 'Amer tribe, renamed Jezreel Valley by settlers) was a #wetland #ecosystem in northern Palestine that had many villages. The Huleh #Valley was another wetland around a #lake.
The wetlands expanded and receded on a #seasonal #cycle. #Fellahin terrace farmed the hillsides, herded #WaterBuffalo, caught #endemic #fish, and built #homes from #papyrus. It was an important stopover for #MigratoryBirds. The fellahin had evolved #resistance to #malaria.

The settlers didn't understand any of this, and didn't want to. They kept dying of malaria. They saw the whole #region as a #wild #swamp #wasteland.
They drained the wetlands and destroyed the native ecosystem that had fed generations. They planted #monoculture #crops over it, causing #desertification. And then had the gall to say they "made the #desert #bloom".

#Settlers #burn olive groves. They plant #pine trees from #EasternEurope, to remake the #land in a familiar #image. The pine trees have shallow roots, but they grow quickly and cover the #ruins of #destroyed Palestinian villages. It is #erasure. And #Western #Jewish #organizations #fund it through the #JewishNationalFund, putting #memorials under the pines.
Pine #resin is also very #flammable. There were huge #BrushFires near #AlQuds in 2021 and 2025. And the needles cause soil #acidification.

#Olive #trees are native to Palestine. It takes decades from planting to viable #fruit, so they're a #multigenerational commitment. They can live for milennia and still bear fruit.
#OliveOil is a major #export. #Harvest is a #communal #festival. Villages have formed around #ancient groves, #children climb their branches, and they often mark #marriages.
The rings record periods of drought and rainfall. The #roots are deep and anchor the #soil, allowing for #terrace #farming on the hillsides.

#Palestine before the #Nakba had several major #cities, and also #vibrant #rural areas and small #villages. It was very #diverse in its #ecology from one #region to another.
It's important to learn about Palestinian ecology. It is central to #EverydayLife, including #food, #history, #culture, and #economy. It records Palestinian #indigeneity. And it's #weaponized by #zionism.
I just did a #DeepDive and wrote a #zine about #ecological #colonization in Palestine, to share with my #SJP branch.

If there had been more widespread #pressure and #protests from #people in the #USA, maybe there wouldn't have been #war with #Iran. But most #Americans supported it. They believe the #propaganda. They're #zionists. And if we had an honest #media, they would all be about to see just what they suppported.

2026-02-28 11:32:36 GMT

There's going to be some #countries, mostly in #Europe, talking a lot of #talk about how they "condemn" the #USA and #Israel for their #attack on #Iran. It will of course be #meaningless. They will send no actual #support to Iran to fight the #invaders. They will not cut #ties with the invaders.

The fact that the #capitalist #class is becoming so reliant on genAI for #planning is a possible #vulnerability for them, since genAI doesn't do #accuracy.

1. #Iran did nothing to justify #Israel's unprovoked #WarCrimes against it.
2. Iran spends only 8 billion dollars on its #military, while the #US and Israel spend a combined 1 trillion on theirs. Israel has killed ten times as many Iranians as there have been Israeli #deaths, and Israel is using those Israeli deaths to whip up #islamophobic, #militaristic fervor.

3. Israel and its #allies are repeating the same #propaganda they used to justify the #IraqWar 20 years ago. Iran was never close to #nukes, nor Iraq to #WMDs. Remember the pointless horrors of that attempt at #RegimeChange, and refuse to go along with another such #quagmire.
4. Israel launched this attack to distract us from their #FinalSolution in #Gaza. Israel is committing a #holocaust, starving millions to death and mass executing desperate people seeking #aid, with traps like #SquidGame.

#Unhoused people don't owe you anything. If you can help them, you have an obligation to do so. It doesn't matter if they're unhoused because of their own choices. It doesn't matter if it shouldn't be your job. It doesn't matter if they're a burden. People don't deserve to be unhoused, no matter what.
