De-googling isn't difficult.
GrapheneOS, Proton Mail, etc.
The bigger challenge is breaking free of the Mac/Windows duopoly.
Linux Mint is useable, but there are too many little things one is expected to just figure out how to do which the legacy OSs do automatically out of the box
I can't believe it would be difficult to make a Linux distro "just work," but apparently it's not important enough for anyone w/ the requisite skills to bother with🤷🏼‍♂️

The current political landscape has evolved out of Left vs Right into Slavery vs Freedom.
You can lament the politicization of Bitcoin all you want, but you can't change the fact that Bitcoin itself necessarily picks a side in that fight.
Also, Leftism is a parasite that infects and ultimately kills everything it touches; and while Bitcoin is for "everyone," it isn't for Leftists, so invite them at your peril.

This idea could be applied more broadly to the device itself. i.e- unlock the phone with the NFC tag and it opens to your regular home screen, all apps and data accessible, etc. Unlock it with a passcode only (as if forced to do so by authorities), and it opens to a basic screen with minimal apps that you don't even use.
This would seem to be a trivial undertaking for a GrapheneOS dev to come up with

We like to pretend to be above the ideological fray, but progressivism is a deadly, host-killing parasite that doesn't care how much we don't care about politics.

Real homebuilders.
Housing and labor have become commoditized, but there is such a difference between a mass-produced tract home built to a budget and a bespoke, custom home (no matter the size- small or large) built by craftsmen who care about their work. Even early tract homes have stood the test of time, because they were nevertheless built by craftsmen.
A Homebuilder holds the vision; they are like the conductor in an orchestra.

FOSS is much easier for normies to understand and inevitably leads them to Bitcoin, which will make total sense to them once they get there.
Just my two sats.
