My Beelink SER5 mini PC has been a fantastic little computer for 2 years. For some reason the computer is now awfully slow. Opening up the browser involves 40 seconds of waiting and games that used to run at 60 fps now run at 10.
I’ve reformatted the computer and reinstalled the OS. I then manually installed all updates and the latest AMD drivers. Issue persists. I’m currently running a memory diagnostics. We’ll see what happens.
Apparently these computers have a 3 year warranty, which is good

In late 2005, I waited in the cold overnight for over 12 hours in order to secure an Xbox 360 shortly after launch. The excitement for the new Xbox was tangible. :xbox360:
There will never be another console launch again like this. Additionally, I think the Xbox 360 was the last great console made. Everything since then has been ‘meh.’

I’m in the process of i stalling Tiny 11 on my 2012 Mac Pro. It’s a stripped down version of Windows 11 with far less disk and RAM usage. It also allows you to strip out all the Copilot nonsense and Microsoft data collection.
It also gives your games a bit better performance thanks to the freed-up resources.

I just got finished watching Project Hail Mary. It’s a very entertaining sci-fi movie that stars Ryan Gosling, who also produced the film.
This movie has it all: intriguing plot, humor, action, drama, and surprises.
It’s not super scientifically accurate but I’ll give that a pass since the movie is so good otherwise. I’d rate it a solid 9 out of 10. Highly recommended!

I love on-rails light gun games, and Gunblade N.Y. is no exception. It was developed by SEGA’s legendary AM2 department and started showing up in arcades in 1995.
It’s got the simple yet fun gameplay SEGA was known for and it was a blast (literally) to mow down enemies on the street using an overpowered gun from a helicopter.
The game and its sequel finally got a home console port on the Wii over a decade later.

Hard Corps: Uprising is a 2011 game that came out on Xbox 360 and PS3. It’s a Contra-like game developed by ARC Systems, the developer of the Guilty Gear series. It’s published by Konami.
This is a really fun game that captures the essence of classic Contra while adding new mechanics like dashing and double jumping. The 2D hand drawn sprites look amazing as well against the 3D polygonal background.

HyperZone is a 1991 SNES game developed by HAL Laboratory. It’s commonly described as a “Mode 7 shooter” that blends the gameplay of Space Harrier and F-Zero.
You fly forward, blasting through enemies and dodging their attacks. You must remain within the track however or else you’ll take damage.

Apparently there are way more ports of Another World than I was aware of lol. If this game wins the poll, I will likely play a different version than SNES.
Astal is one of the most visually stunning 2D platformers of the 32 bit era. A Saturn exclusive.
Toejam & Earl is just a 16 bit classic with memorable gameplay and music.
Street Fighter 2010 is yet another fun NES platformer from Capcom.

Sharp LC-40E67UN - heavy distortion
Hitachi 42HDS69 - input lag
Sony Wega KDF-E50A10 - projection bulbs have inconsistent lifespan
Panasonic TC-P42C2 - vertical line (currently in use)
Sylvania LC370SS8 - input lag
In all my years of gaming on various displays, my experience is that Samsung ALWAYS sucks. Panasonic always rules.

The Sylvania LCD TV I picked up a couple of days ago may not be as great as I thought. The image quality is fine but it has ~100ms response time and it makes playing certain games just feel… off. Check out this slow motion video I recorded.

My brother is the same way, he doesn’t care for superhero movies at all but he loves TDK.
It’s not required, but I recommend watching Batman Begins first just to have a better idea of who the characters are and where they come from. If you decide to watch these two films, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I recently re-watched The Dark Knight (2008). It’s been around 14 years since I last saw it.
It’s still an excellent movie that has perfect pacing and great performances across the board. Ledger’s performance is just legendary.
The entire movie is written so tightly that every moment has an impact.
This is where the Batman cinematic universe peaked, and honestly it’s where Nolan should’ve stopped.
This movie is so good that I saw it in theaters twice. I haven’t done that before or since.

Criminally, this game was never ported to any other console or re-released. Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller is easily the best in the series with new mechanics, and the maps and characters from the first two games!
The PC port isn’t perfect but it’s made much better with mods.

I voted Xbox because the hardware is better, it has a built in hard drive, and it has Halo!

Crazy Taxi World Tour was shown for the very first time in a brief trailer during the #Xbox Games Showcase.

1. The game runs at 60 fps
2. The Offspring is back
