@nprofile…pmx6 @nprofile…aya8 Probably, but vision was also a topic in the AI lab. I've seen a researcher doing 3d video analysis using a 3640. Night long runs to compute 3d filters over videos. That machine also had a color board, IIRC.

@nprofile…aya8 The first real personal workstation I saw and touched was quite exotic: a #Symbolics 3600 #Lisp Machine: megapixel screen, ethernet, disk, tape drive, mouse, a few megabytes of tagged 36bit memory with a Lisp CPU with roughly one MIPS speed and a Motorola 68k as a frontend processor. Introduced in 1983.

@nprofile…8f02 #clos #commonlisp #oop #lisp there was still a choice between various proposals then...
But the actual CLOS was not far away - the standard proposal was published in September 1988: https://dl.acm.org/toc/sigplan/1988/23/SI
Available above as a PDF. The final version was then published with the ANSI CL standard.

there is also its "Exotic Language of the Month Club" on page 99: CRL, a knowledge representation language (implemented in Common Lisp). Then the PowerLisp ad on page 62. SCOOPS on page 49ff. The KEEConnection ad on page 23ff. The "Personal Consultant Plus" (written in PC Scheme) ad from TI with support for the TI Explorer Lisp Machine on page 6/7. The GoldWorks ad on page 145. Plus: a bunch of Prolog articles...

@nprofile…8f02 I think it lacks the perspective that CL is a standard and not an implementation. The linked list of implementations is neither complete, nor what I generally up to date.
