The map variety which also means a difference in map objectives really seperates it from other mobas which is why I think people are still playing it
Also the way they ditched farm gold in favour for a global team experience makes it so much better but at the same time so much more frustrating if your team isn't working together. In LoL you can do a 1v9. In HotS it's not really possible

MY biggest gripe with leauge is the lack of map variety
In Hots there's ~15 different maps you can play if it's quick match, 11 if you do ranked, 4 if you do ARAM and it adds a nice variety to play styles and team comps
In LoL if you don't want to play summoners rift you pretty much have to go fuck yourself since they removed dominion and twisted treeline, and don't want to properly maintain Blitz or Arena
