Ah, no, the task uses apt to install packages so it would need to be adapted to Arch's packaging system , pacman. It may not work with Debian either as an up to date Ubuntu has different packages and versions in some areas.

It's fine, I run Ardour and Bitwig on it. I've bought too many Windows VSTs over the years, but yabridge works, and @npub1jep…jqax's discovery that iLok works has been incredibly useful.
As MacOS and Windows become increasingly inflexible, I think more software makers will support Linux directly because it will be the best option for music making.

Manjaro is an Arch distribution that works pretty well and is well supported for music resources. With Endeavour you have to dig about under the bonnet (hood) a bit more. Cachyos I haven't tried yet.
A Linux distribution basically consists of an interface, a packaging system and a philosophy - Ubuntu Studio prioritises the latter so there isn't too much to do. Manjaro (or similar) tries to be a flexible general purpose distribution that just works, but with the ability and resources to adjust options as required.

I've run Manjaro on my music laptop for a few years, it's based on Arch but the software manager is really good, and it's a lot easier to fix than apt (I've done that enough over the years as well).
