Last Notes npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock The “masterminds” discussions stopped just as the music stopped and the real accountability would have made them fun to listen to. Man that @nprofile…pmdd $475k/bitty call looks horrendous in hindsight… 😂😬 npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock This is an incredibly smooth brain take. You’ll be waiting forever. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I’d be super disappointed if one of those is Preston. Guy was instrumental on my journey and I feel like a core piece of my bitcoin experience is gone. It seemed like he was losing interest in bitcoin there towards the end. You could sense the frustration with cold storage bitcoin … the BTCTC craze really caught him and distracted his energy into other shiny things (AI, etc.). npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock To the earlier classes, you should be as hopeful and encouraging for the class of 2021 and after in terms of NGU as the early classes were to you (and you were to yourselves). NGU is bitcoin’s primary technological advantage to all other forms of money. If that fails, there is no meaningful value prop for most people. Adoption follows NGU. NGU unlocks a bitcoin mentality across more businesses, political situations, and cultural norms. NGU allows for more technical funding into bitcoin as a protocol and into bitcoin services and integrations. NGU is all that matters. And NGU is fun. We need to refocus on NGU. As an entire bitcoin culture…just focus our energy, our vibes, and our engagement on NGU. All the other solutions flow from their in our own unique skills and interests. The marketplace will diversify bitcoin and its application within economies. Our job is to get NUMBER TO GO UP! npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Just got debanked by Chase. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock lol… #nevent1q…7nlf npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock So just throw it out there when everyone is panicky… https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTZjMDliOTUydndobHJ4dTdlZjB5aG02bTJsYm13MDBiMTJjdGlldnZ1dGI0MjN5diZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/l4JyX3V0yydvPHNBe/giphy.gif npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock We still FUDing binance collapse or nah? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock We’re not going to get to $58k, are we? This cycle continues to disappoint. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Again, given your platform…irresponsible without providing more context. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Pretty irresponsible to post if it isn’t true. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Clarity Act bump: over/under 15% npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Yes npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock It's bad out there guys. 4 & 5 year HODL return and risk adjusted returns are absolutely in the toilet. Wall Street is undermining bitcoin's use case as a superior storer of value. https://blossom.primal.net/8585cb8200d46b817caef56443cec21c424a4f61a0f4032bb90b2930632eb21c.png https://blossom.primal.net/a6e109d941785e9f2ae6a738133def8298f2e1180131b19e10a93e326d44aff1.png npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Right now I am so pissed off I am fuming. I never celebrated outwardly at $120k (barely felt like validation) but now I feel like my faith in this project is being rugged. Clearly, it’s my own problem to manage but the emotions are real and have to be overcome. Truly the hardest professional experience of my entire life. @nprofile…fg9w npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock There aren’t anymore longs to liquidate… https://blossom.primal.net/edf1971d3346d558504e7c9c2221daaa2be33f714d6fd14df5f77df1b1ca5100.jpg npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Bitcoin podcasts have surprisingly little bitcoin talk these days. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock They cannot allow a retail bitcoin pump. This is THE moment. #nevent1q…t2zg npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock How little the powers that be are willing to talk publicly about bitcoin is a direct measure of how much they understand and how scared they are of what bitcoin does to their power structure. This is the moment of the war. One more retail pump and their control is gone forever because the network effect of another wave of hardcore bitcoiners becoming wealthy will completely erode their FUD narratives. Almost everyone with any financial literacy knows a bitcoin maximalist. With the next retail windfall, it will become clear to a whole ‘nother level of retail and institutional adoption that control LARGE pools of capital and know that the current system is fragile and breaking. They cannot allow a retail bitcoin pump. This is the moment. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Is this good for bitcoin? 😬 npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock NFTs are worthless, bro. We proved that last cycle. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Bottom signal. #nevent1q…wcnd npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock People seem to forget that the bull run started almost a year early with the ETFs, an ATH before the halving. So when we’re thinking of “cycle” timing, the reality is that even if “cycles” are still a thing, we’re already about at the timing for the “cycle” to be bottoming out based on the last “cycle.” ETF flows have been shit. Feels like many ETF buyers would be eager to buy at a 40% discount. Should see those flows pick up here soon. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock He's a genius fiat puppet master, got to give him that. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Girl dad!! #nevent1q…w42m npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock MM is a spook. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I’m expecting you to hold Marty accountable for his absolutely BS price predictions 3Q24 - 1Q25 npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock How will it get harder and harder? We never got our moment. And this is 100% manipulation by banks and sovereigns who are actively trying to slow retail adoption. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a spook. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock They truly think we're stupid. It's like they are actively avoiding it. Or actively suppressing it. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Yes! Yes! Let's show everyone who is swimming naked! Accelerate! npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I think the challenge for bitcoin is that in order to be a superior monetary technology, it MUST transmit superior value over space and time. As soon as it loses one or both of those functions for a long duration, the thesis starts to implode. I agree that people can't get caught up on short duration price fluctuations but 5 years isn't a short duration. It needs to perform on a risk-adjusted basis when we start to talk about 4+ year durations. Either bitcoin is a superior money technology or it isn't. There isn't a huge amount of ambiguity on whether the thesis is holding. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock @npub1d3f…r4xv thoughts on Kevin Warsh? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Sell MSTR. Buy bitcoin. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Here’s the cool thing about bitcoin. We can audit it. So if you’re a country accountable to your citizens or a company accountable to your shareholders and you hold bitcoin: post the addresses. Otherwise, the market’s going assumption should be that you’re full of shit and you hold nothing. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Worst is over dudes. What should we expect from you on NOSTR? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Business owners who adopt bitcoin will improve their business. Bitcoiners who buy / start businesses with their bitcoin capital will likely hurt their bitcoin stack. An interesting conundrum. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I’ve been told this is a Wyckoff Accumulation pattern. https://blossom.primal.net/a3fb29b0feeec098faee6ce52731519ca8ad8ac7331cceed0f83ad541a2341bc.jpg npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Dump RHRs are the best RHRs. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock @nprofile…uge3 ^^ npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock If their stock price keeps going down and the rhetoric continues to demand it, then they should do something to address it. Unless it’s a part of a bigger design. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock The goal is to work for yourself and operate on a bitcoin standard. NGU is required to make that a reality. We should not “be patient” beyond a full halving cycle’s duration. To be a superior monetary technology, NGU should go up on a risk-adjusted basis every 4 years in a way that outpaces 95% of any other asset. No matter of timing of acquisition within the cycle. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock For the MSTR shareholders, ensuring that there is as little paper bitcoin as possible is a fiduciary imperative. As Strategy’s entire business model is built on the superiority of bitcoin as a sound money asset - Saylor has a fiduciary duty to provide (as part of his products) proof that $MSTR bitcoins are truly a proportionate share of a hard 21M supply cap. Until Saylor makes this clear - shows proof that he has bought the bitcoins and that his custodians are not rehypothecating his bitcoins - he is in derelict in his fiduciary duties. Love this accountability and hope that the bitcoin community does not relent. Until he builds this capability, Strategy shares should go to zero. #nevent1q…rwvh npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Drive Strategy to zero until they prove their bitcoin reserves are not rehypothecated - by them or by their custodians. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Yes, this is unacceptable. We need to understand the root cause. That should be the imperative of the bitcoin community? Is fractional reserving by Coinbase and Binance suppressing the price? Is MSTR enabling this fractional reserving by locking up illiquid bitcoins into these custodians? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Now go back to Feb 2022 … or Feb 2021… or Feb 2024 … or Feb 2025. Specifically around the software. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Imagine if all Americans said “Fuck this.” and decided that China and the BRICs can have gold and we’ll build the future American economy around bitcoin. Another 200+ years of prosperity within America’s beautiful borders. Bring back American exceptionalism. #nevent1q…gndw npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Gold is pumping because central banks are buying physical gold and a communist state (2nd largest economy) has encouraged its population to buy physical gold. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I disagree. If someone (🙋🏼♂️) held through the 80% drawdown then they’re 100% “owed a bull market” if bitcoin is what we say it is…that is a superior money, moving value over space and time. Risk-adjusted returns require compensation for that downside volatility. Absolute returns are a useless measure. It’s all about volatility adjusted returns. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock It isn’t “do something” … it’s don’t “move the goalposts” … don’t act as if everything is fine and if you’re not acting like everything is fine then “you’re a part of the problem” or “should have known better”. No other bitcoin adopters have gone this long without a period of euphoria to help with the pain of the volatility. Every analyst and influencer who is acting like “everything is fine” had a large allocation that has gone through a 10x+ windfall. Those who made a large allocation during the last euphoric bull run have held for ~4+ years, went through an 80% drawdown, and are now up less than 2x on that allocation. That’s bad risk management for an investor. Bitcoin has recently failed on a key tenet of acting as money (transmit value over space and time) for those people. Maybe there are not many of us, but more INFLOOENCERS should show some empathy to those of us who are bitcoiners but have been put through significant pain for coming up on 5 years without relief. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock NGU is required for bitcoin to be successful. It has to be a superior storer of value over space and time. Risk-adjusted. For those who adopted in 2021, it has not been a superior storer of value over time. Every bitcoin analyst and influencer has been wrong about this “cycle” … those of us who adopted in 2020/2021 have out both our capital and reputations at risk for this asset and that trust in the protocol has not been rewarded by the market. Something is off and it is worth trying to understand what and how and to call out any bad actors who are actively manipulating the purchasing power of bitcoin. Analysts and influencers suggesting “we haven’t been patient enough” is disingenuous and I think you understand well enough what I am saying and why there is a large contingent with negative sentiment…and maybe a growing resentment of those earlier classes who have enjoyed their windfall and now are changing their tune as we enter into the longest period without meaningful risk-adjusted returns over an entire halving cycle. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock And it was $65k before that…come on earlier classes…stop moving the goalposts. And if they previously rejected bitcoin, NGU humbles them. And the a whole bunch of OGs fully liquidating their 10,000+ coin positions all at once doesn’t make sense. Unless those positions were not held by individuals but interests that wanted to suppress the price during the bull. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock As @nprofile…5umt says, Bitcoin’s NGU is the most important metric in bitcoin. To act as if all these other metrics suggest we’ve never been stronger is naive and/or misleading. Bitcoin’s stuck in a 4+ year chop that undermines its thesis as a superior technology. We’ve got to get to the root cause of the underperformance. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Purchased 🫡 npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Bitcoin replaces treasury bonds. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock @nprofile…22n0 Please stop cherry picking the 3-year bitcoin return profile. It’s not intellectually honest and it is not endearing your class of ‘21 bitcoin maxis. You’re speaking from a position of hubris afforded by earlier adoption and moving the goal posts from your “supercycle” calls late 2024. This is by far the worst return performance for 4-5 year hodlers. https://blossom.primal.net/acad1fa742f3c37c7a444b74ebdd635ab192d62fd054113e2261c29f549ccee8.png npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Almost there…too bad he’s ~50% poorer because he’s “hedged”. Why is it so hard to get this financial influencers to commit to bitcoin? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock @nprofile…mj8t I think it is easy for those bitcoiners who have already gotten incredibly wealthy to dismiss the importance of NGU. But for the next wave of adoption, the bitcoiners who have committed to the thesis - who believe in the importance of decentralized money and that bitcoin is that money - have to enjoy the risk-adjusted returns over time. I started adopting bitcoin in 2020. Became a bitcoin maxi in 2021. Planned on building out a business, running it on a bitcoin standard, and contributing to the long-term success of bitcoin. Yet the overall purchasing power return profile of bitcoin for the last 4-5 years has dramatically underperformed. The earlier adopters dismissing this, dismissing those who adopted during this window, is a drastic mistake. Bitcoiners need to have empathy for other bitcoiners. And it feels like all the bitcoiners who have already “made it” are totally distanced from and annoyed by the bitcoiners who have not had that bump in value transfer over time. We’ve gone from encouraging bitcoin adoption from the general population to trying to improve the functionality of bitcoiners who already have had their purchasing power elevate to incredible levels. NGU is a necessity. Many bitcoiners seem to have forgotten that necessity. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Maybe you can vibe code it? npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock This is true. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Sometimes I wish we had more reputatable spokespeople. Hopefully soon. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock 2026 is the year. It’s all going to change. Embrace it. Stack our little hearts out. LFG! npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Any regulatory protected industry. I’d start with residential real estate. There is literally no need for 95%+ of real estate agents and fees should be in the hundreds to low thousands of dollars for their “services”. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Bitcoin obsoletes traditional banks. You don’t think they’re going to fight bitcoin to the death? There is no “integrating” bitcoin into their current operations. Their current operations are incompatible with bitcoin at a fundamental level. They’re terrified and doing everything they can to stop it. Fighting in the shadows. Tick tock, next block. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock I’m not saying they’re doing anything illegal. Just risky. Self-custody is critical. At some point people will stop looking at bitcoin as an investment and start considering it a necessity. It will be interesting to see how Coinbase and Binance respond if/when self-custody becomes more of an imperative for bitcoin “investors”. npub1dl3snacnxj9qu5a5llsch0qld4vrvv2s0pv5wh0ntsq80ndz304ql234z9 brock Yeah, I also think that Coinbase (and Binance) are running the fractional reserve playbook. Maybe not as bad as the banks - which have a 0% reserve requirement since COVID - but there is 0% chance they have all the bitcoin that their customers have “bought” using their platforms.
