Last Notes npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…x9tq Also very glad that we can edit posts in Mastodon. Over on Bluesky, they still don’t offer that ability at all. Since I hate typos, it forces me to delete and then retype the whole post. Because I am too much of a perfectionist to let it go! 😂 npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…av98 That sounds like when I had 3 teeth extracted a few months ago. I’d never had to do that before so I was pretty nervous! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…av98 Usually my blood pressure and pulse are very good, but sometimes they get a little elevated when I go to medical or dental appointments. I’ve heard it called the “white coat effect.” So I feel like it’s kind of a normal thing. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…av98 Glad to hear it went well. I assumed it would - my mom and husband both had cataract surgery with no issues or complications. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…dlwz I agree with you. I started on the internet back in the Usenet days and am still friends with some folks I met there. The fediverse, for its limitations, has been the closest thing to that in recent memory. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…rlkf I understand! I think the reason I choose one at a time is that I seem to have fewer side effects that way. And the pharmacy where I get my seasonal vaccinations is only about a mile from my house, so it’s convenient enough. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…rlkf All at once? Oof! I personally get them one at a time most of the time. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…dlwz How interesting! And that pueblo is not that far from where I live now. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…rlkf That's cool! It reminds me of a couple of buildings in the Financial District in San Francisco. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…px39 I need to watch that again sometime! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…px39 Thank you for sharing your story, Mark! 🌈 I came out at 24 myself, but the right time is always when YOU are ready. Happy Pride to you! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…a9hv @seedthecommons Very interesting read. I will say that I think there is more interest in plant-based lifestyles (even if not strictly vegan) in the Christian circles that I frequent, including the Episcopal church that I currently attend. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…a9hv I have similar frustrations in my city as well. We have zero drop-off recycling locations in my area of town and it's about a 10-mile drive to the closest one. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…xzjz Well said. We have to stand up for what we know is right, in whatever way we can. I’m not willing to just give up and let evil win by default. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…px39 It's okay, Mark! I too am usually well behind the curve when it comes to popular culture. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…2wkl You might think THAT would motivate more men to get vaxxed. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…xzjz Canned/dry goods in general, especially vegetables and fruit. I think dog food is a great idea as well. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…xzjz Summer IS such a good helper! Sorry to hear about the runaround with your husband's care. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…ps99 @nprofile…a9hv @nprofile…m7my Well, this is very disappointing for me after switching from gmail to Proton. I almost wonder why I bothered now. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…px39 Happy New Year, Mark! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…px39 Happy birthday, Mark! 🎉 npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…wky0 Looks good! But I don’t think I have ever seen carrot cake frosted with chocolate before. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @nprofile…npxa I am just never gonna get over the idea that we are encouraged (even expected) to incur credit card debt for *healthcare* expenses. What a "great" country we have here. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1ra6…s94j Love it! I'm gonna have to get one of these for myself. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 I personally can't understand why anyone would choose the Cybertruck over the Lightning. OK, maybe some right-wing chuds might. But not anyone who might need a pickup for practical uses. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 My #vegan dinner tonight: sweet potato and black bean enchiladas, red enchilada sauce, cashew cream and chopped white onion. This was my first time making cashew cream and I think it will be a regular part of my Mexican food repertoire going forward! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 The way I look at it is that voting is sometimes a matter of harm reduction. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 All I can say is GOOD. Well played, SF! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 Yours is coming in much better than mine ever did. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 I mean...how could you possibly refuse? "Sure, I'll be happy to move to Buttcrack, Alabama!" npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 Had thought about trying Chewy for future Rx for my pups, but it's obvious that they don't do things efficiently enough to make that worth my while. Thanks for the heads up. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 For me, it’s one thing if he and his family want to live according to those values. It is quite another when they want to compel everyone else to live the same way. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1ecp…59pq Went to Vegas a few times in the '90s and had some good times. My last visit was in 2006 and I haven't been back since. A lot of these same problems existed back then but it sounds like things are much worse now. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 What? You didn’t have a carrier pigeon available? npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 Yeah, I think I’m doing just fine with the free over-the-air games. I also watch the Thursday games on Prime since I’m just running out the string on my Prime membership. I wouldn’t mind being able to see more 49ers games, but I’m not paying $$$ for the privilege, thanks! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1typ…c8hh Agree 100%. When I bought my first vehicle in the late 1980s, I seriously considered buying one of the small pickup trucks Mazda made at the time. I would consider it now if they still made them. That would be more than adequate for my needs. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub19fc…ay3c Correct. It was measured at the store level as well and as long as our shrink stayed below a certain level, upper management didn’t really make a fuss. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub19fc…ay3c I previously worked in retail management for about 9 years. "Shrink" (i.e., theft) was always a thing, of course, but the level of security theater we now see at a lot of retailers is just ridiculous. But you're also right that we don't seem to get that much coverage on wage theft, which is a much bigger issue. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub10hz…d2qh @npub1wjw…ue5t @npub15c0…hxke I might have to give Proton another look. I tried them out a few months back but didn't stick with it. At this point gmail is my only remaining link to Google, though admittedly it's far easier to dump Google as an Apple user (which I am). npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 Known that for years. Glad the FDA has finally caught on. Now maybe I can buy the real stuff without people thinking I’m trying to be the next Walter White. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub189n…satx And the rampant ageism really sticks in my craw. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 This TCU grad thanks you for your support, even if we lost today. 👍 npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 That IS a magical DM office. Certainly doesn't reflect my past experiences at the SF DMV office! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 It's hard for big business to wean themselves off crony capitalism, you know? npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1200…aqy2 I think that will soon be the fate of the San Francisco Centre in SF. Nordstrom just closed their store there and joined many others in doing so. Bloomingdales is still there but I think only because they signed a very long lease, but they're probably looking for an exit strategy as well. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1aka…zzz2 I read a few months back that Kroger tried adding a tip feature to its self-checkout registers in a few stores. Seriously? You want me to leave a tip when *I’m* the one doing the checking, bagging and ferrying the groceries to my car? Hell no. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1ra6…s94j @npub1dzj…7n2l OMG. What a disaster! Let me know where you guys end up. Not sure I will continue with Firefish myself… npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1yk6…4zz4 I think you have exactly the right perspective here! npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub189n…satx @npub1483…lv2w Oof. Sorry to hear this. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1vs7…a6g3 I have tried Ivory, Ice Cubes and Mona in addition to the official app. Any of the first 3 are great choices but I am currently using Mona on both my iPhone and iPad. I prefer Ice Cubes and Mona in part because they also allow me to browse other instances' local feeds. Ivory did not have that feature yet when I tried it out. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1fgx…n7x0 Reese’s would have to be my choice. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1fgx…n7x0 Yeah, it doesn’t exactly fit the summer blockbuster model. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub189n…satx Just out and out evil. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub1edc…0q44 Elect actual fascists to office, get fascist public policies. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub189n…satx I'm sure they could use a good dose of one-star reviews on Yelp and Google right about now. npub1dm7mevc5fvj59l749e5mvagc4k5sj7yrqrdcz7z5tuzjas09sx7s6c2ztt Stan Wonn 🏳️🌈 🌹 @npub174k…97q2 I've been mainly using Ice Cubes but have also tried (and was very impressed by) Ivory. Ice Cubes allows you to browse other instances (which is a feature I really like) and Ivory doesn't have that feature yet. I've also been very impressed by Elk even though it's still in development.
