Last Notes npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg The #crawlers are pretty annoying, especially when looking at irrelevant stuff digging deeper than necessary. Fortunately, in #OpenBSD using the fail2ban pattern can be applied as well. My #GoT web server got hammered and first I just banned all the found crawler names. However, now, every action they do on gotwebd is remembered with an effort number and if that adds up to 100, the IP is banned. Additonally, connection storms are also banned if they follow certain patterns. #pf, #perl and I am done using only on-board tools. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Looking at the lengthy answer from @nprofile…560n I am not the only one questioning the involvement with omarchy. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…9ad2 wo warst du so lange? However, it starts up only on the ipv6 address. I can make it listen to the ipv4 running it as the same or another user manually, but I have no idea WHY? npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Dear #OpenBSD friends. Has anyone already set up a #RustDesk relay and ID/rendezous server and got some rc.d files ready to use? npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Anyone has a recommendation for #Linux #command line reference book for a beginner? I use to have one #BSD #Unix one back in the days. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Feiert mit euren Freunden, bleibt in Kontakt. 😔 npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…79ya Heya, one small thing I found is that if I scroll/read over a notified message, the notification for it does not go away (the notification bell icon still keeps the dot). So I have to go into it, and back just to remove the notification. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 dass sie dir wirklich wieder einen Balkon anbauen? npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Es macht mich immer wieder fertig, wie einige #Linke in den Parteien das moderne #Russland nicht als #Agressor begreifen, seitdem #Putin die Macht übernommen hat. Geht wieder. Sind in Hannovet angekommen. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…v782 Wir kommen derzeit noch nicht aus HH raus wegen Oberleitungsschaden in Willemsburg. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…v782 Haben den nächsten in die gleiche Richtung genommen. Mal schauen, wie weit wir kommen. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…v782 Zug fällt aus. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…v782 Will aus HH weg und habe eine Kollegen mit deinem Bahn-Karma dabei. Zack 30m verspätete Abfahrt. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 Irgendwo, wo ich Schiffe sehe :-) npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg Hübsch habt ihrs hier, @nprofile…n4c8. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…uvhj @nprofile…07cp nice, I tried to keep a minimalist approach when accessing remote systems since a long time. It helps not to fumble around on a new system. Also makes you adapt better. Pure vi, simple shell, basic keyboard layout. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 Es ist halt manchmal garnicht so leicht. Bequemlichkeit wird an #Abo gebunden. Diese #LockIn Geschichten mit #Cloudzwang waeren aber mal ein Thema fuer die #Verbraucherschuetzer/#EU. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 Bericht und Rezept bitte, falls erfolgreich🤔. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg An interesting takeaway from my #BSD adventure is, that manual pages can actually be useful. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 brauchst du Hilfe? npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 Die Frage ist, ist es Dekadent oder die Vorbereitung auf die Obdachlosigkeit. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…n4c8 An unserem Stahlkonstrukt waechst eine Madam Galen herauf ;-) Inzwischen ist der ganze Balkon und der darueber umwuchert. Die schafft aber leider nur bis 6m. npub1dtw2gplcr6jzhk2axef0pleedx0xssqw0hs5hc9grs2jemjsh6jsuqa52a thinkberg @nprofile…npxa @nprofile…6gnj At first I wanted to be angry about that late insight, but it is a good thing this realization happens.
