That's the argument in essence, these people would find one Amish person with a haplogroup common in southern Europe, look at the fact they have hebrew names and call it case closed. I don't know why supposed anti-semites are so eager to hand over all of their history to Jews on a silver platter. I also struggle to understand how they can't tell jews are obviously trying to "we wuz" their way into European history.

Good instinct the "genetic evidence" is literally nothing. It's entirely based on the preponderance of certain y-haplogroups the authors associate with jewish ancestry. They sweep aside the fact the majority have haplogroup R-m269 (the most common in Europe) and try to downplay the fact that the other haplogroups are associated with European populations as well. The reason jews and some europeans share haplogroups is because of a common ancestor over ten-thousand years ago. Y-haplogroup can only tell you about one specific ancestor in the distant past, in this case an ancestor who existed before jews were even a distinct people group.
This is why the author in OP tries to present corroborating evidence which is downright schizophrenic to anyone with an IQ above room temperature. They associate the fact many had hebrew names and that literally one(1) learned hebrew as arguments. Reasonable people understand that might happen with a specifically Christian colony. The evidence is so weak at one point the try to argue that potentially French last names are evidence jewish ancestry (please ignore how interconnected French and English history was up to that point. It's comically bad.
Everytime one of these midwits tries to make this argument, whether it's columbus, jefferson, or I guess pilgrims now they always have to rely on haplogroup because there isn't any actual genetic evidence to go on. The only real question is whether OP is a midwit who can't stop thinking about jews or dishonestly representing history to feed his ego. Your guess is as good as mine but I detect a significant amount of cognitive dissonance throughout this """"""""study""""""""

Admittedly this kinda difficult to wrap my head around, but something along the lines of instinct and intellect having a more direct connection. Related to how we react to certain situations and our place in them? I know there are many situations where seemingly conscious decisions are actually decided unconsciously ahead of time. I imagine there is some function of the brain constantly self-evaluating unconsciously, this effects certain moods and impulses, changing state of mind. State of mind effects other thoughts conscious or not. I might have completely missed what you were getting at though.

True I don't think you should or even can really view things in a vacuum. Experience, Historical sense, and Instincts will always be there. A better view of that idea might be more like, since things don't have inherent value, there is a lot more room for creativity or opportunities to change what is already on the canvas. All the influences on you will show in how you respond to it. Personally I've always liked the idea of carving my own path to value, but it's a lot easier said than done.

Nietzsche had the idea of Strong Pessimism where nihilism could actually be more fulfilling for certain types of people. If you're strong enough a meaningless world looks more like a blank canvas. Changed my way of thinking a lot when I first learned about it.
