tbh i think decoupling the backend from the frontend by default is the right way to go about it.
golang is known for its concurrency which there's a lot of on an application like activitypub server so. Unlike akkoma it isn't written in an obscure language such as erlang/elixir so probably more outside contributions which is kind important these days.

one day https://gotosocial.org will be good enough to rule them all and a decent frontend will emerge.
We set up a test instance and I actually think this is something I want to do more development with....and maybe start on some of those [good first issues](https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20label%3A%22good%20first%20issue%22).

tbh i wish artists would take monero cuz i don't like being dependent on banks or anyone knowing what or where i am spending money... especially if minors.
The main issue though is that most crypto exchanges require KYC to turn into fiat which is a pain i guess.

but one could argue it was slowly going down before that point in time, and continued afterwards therefore that had nothing to do with the newgon website being launched.

you can also set up your indexers in prowlarr, and then sonarr, (tv) and radarr (movies) can be configured to use that. There's also lidarr (music) which is why i don't have spotify.
never have i had to deal with wildvine or any fucking retarded DRM

sabnzbd is what you want.. the pvr solution sonarr, and radarr contact the indexer and send the nzb to sabnzbd for downloading.
there's also nzbget. sonarr and radarr can also send torrents to qbittorrent if you have that from private torrent rss feeds.
