the part of the story that’s really interesting is how did they increase the water flow
Caesar Creek Lake
Well wouldn’t you know it turns out Caesar Creek Lake is really a man made lake that has a Dam built in 1970 funny how whenever there’s a flood it’s always near a man made lake that has a Dam so if USACOE can increase the flow seems like they could lower the lake before a flood happens

Here’s a diagram of a river before reservoir impoundment
https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Landscape-transformation-from-a-river-to-a-reservoir-A-Pre-impoundment-conditions-the_fig2_320955675
Apparently there’s another dam on the Guadalupe river it’s called Dittmar falls it’s about 22 miles from Canyon lake dam does anyone know if it flooded too? maybe more attention should be on the US army corps of engineers and whoever runs these dams because every time there’s a flood it’s not really an act of nature but there’s a reservoir and dam involved that should have been lowered anticipating flooding

pic of the Canyon lake before they flooded the valley in 64 the river doesn’t look that big back then I never heard the term reservoir impoundment is that what the US Army Corps of Engineers call it when they flood a valley because it sounds better
https://www.canyonlakeguide.com/helpful_info/dam.htm
Maybe whoever runs the dam should have slowly lower the water level before the rain anticipating the lake would rise and flood everything past the dam if it overflows everyone talking about this flood but not the dam

@npub13cj…xnnm @npub1xwr…3chj you mentioned if you cancel your audible subscription you lose all your audio books. I don’t currently have a subscription to audible and all my audio books are still there also I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a real paid subscription to audible other when they send me a new email about once a year or less offering me a free trial subscription that comes with free a audio book for 1 month also some of Amazon titles they also. I’ve managed to get a lot of free books that way

A more important question about Walz isn’t what happened in 2005 it’s what happened in 90/91 and that’s how did he get out of being activated for Desert Storm especially if he was in an artillery unit in the NG. Everyone was getting activated both reserves and NG for Desert Storm. Why didn’t he go? If anyone has seen him in his military uniform does he have a combat unit patch on his right shoulder?

These time line and dates is more important than people know when it comes to Walz and his military status. Because anyone who joined the military before you enlisted after Sept. 7, 1980, or entered active duty after Oct. 16, 1981. Could basically do 2 any amount of time almost and be called a veteran there’s a lot those guys still around they basically for whatever reason didn’t make it through boot camp but are legally considered veterans.

You could do 24 years in the NG and not be entitled to veterans benefits if you enlisted after you enlisted after Sept. 7, 1980, or entered active duty after Oct. 16, 1981 anyone who joined after these dates has to served 24 months consecutive active duty unless they were activated and deployed to a combat zone.
Walz appears to have joined before the 24 month rule was put in effect in 81 so that would explain how and why he is entitled to veterans benefits these time line is important

National guard is reserve component Army/Air Force every state has its own NG which has 2 sides Army NG and Air NG both are reserve components of active duty Army and Air Force they’re basically same as reserve component from the Army,Navy,AF,USMC. 1 major difference NG initially falls under state’s governor called title 32 orders. NG can also be activated POTUS which is title 10 orders. T10 orders count for active duty T32 doesn’t. I lot of people don’t understand how the NG works
