I finally read the mahjong event and it is super sappy. Rukia was a sickly little girl and Seven, a being from the Dark Zone seeking to destroy the world took over her body after Rukia died. In a previous event she was sent to punish a traitor who fell in love with a human by shoving her into an inescapable dimensional death trap. ((You): "But I was there to watch your plan fail. Rukia/Seven: "Naturally. You were who Thirteen fell in love with. The perfect storybook knight saving the princess from the dragon.") But now she wants to let bygones be bygones ((You) even point out you survived the last time because Seven purposefully went easy on you but she remains a bit coy) and since (you) are the only being on the planet who knows what she is and her own time is running short, she needs (you)r help to use dream magics to say proper goodbyes to Rukia's family to paper over the alien taking over their daughter routine so (you) have to pretend to be Rukia's dad, brother, and imouto in a bunch of sappy depressing goodbyes and to top it off, the dream magics make (you) also relive Seven watching Rukia die in an incredibly depressing scene that does not let up a bit from Rukia: "Dad was so worried and wanted to rush his flight home, but I convinced him it would be fine for him to just catch tomorrow morning's flight." [Established earlier, Rukia's dad is only ever out of town on trips to medical conferences to find anything that can cure his sickly daughter] and Rukia: "That is quite the storm. I rather wished the weather had stayed a bit nicer..." When you wake up from this, you realize there is one thing Seven forgot and you get a dialogue option, "Isn't there someone you forgot to say goodbye to... Sevvie?" [Rukia's pet name for Seven.] Seven freezes up, "You are CRUEL for springing that on me." But she acknowledges she cannot avoid it and says she went to all the places Rukia wanted to see but never went and her family loved her and was so happy to see her "recover" but "It should have been YOU. Not me! Why was I the only one who got to be happy?"
Meanwhile, another alien has realized Seven has changed sides and is breaking into the dream to try to kill her so Seven is going to sacrifice herself to let (you) escape but the actual ghost of Rukia (who Seven breaks down crying on seeing) and (you) and Thirteen from the previous story all help save her, complete with you busting back in to save her personally with a one liner that you did not say goodbye to her
The story does not really bother explaining why a dying little girl seems to love a alien plant that was there to destroy the world but after all this effort I put in myself, asking the question would seem a little... unsophisticated...
Mahjong game btw
