excellent either which way! My wife is currently making her prized shortbread!!! She’s done an eat more bar, gingerbread, kahlúa chocolate chip, fudge haystacks, and nuts & bolts (various snacks and cereals mixed with a buttered seasoning and slow roasted). I sous chef for her!

seems to be the thing lately. Seen one that was geared towards projecting D&D maps on a table for quick play setup. Looks like more of a subscription funnel for the creator and not totally sure if the tech is something that will last a couple campaigns. Got me looking at options and the price range is all over the place. Going to look more into components and see which one has quality which may translate to longevity and it might not… it’s a future project for me.

also the feeling of belonging considering the vast number of those of us sharing similar hobbies and discoveries. It far out reaches institutional boundaries and societal norms. I like my ecosystem I’ve created. Just wish I had more time in a day to touch on new things to improve one self or experience. But in good time I know I will.

Also your other point of connecting with people around the world. Many times I have relied on the phrase my friend in country or city has done, is doing, they experienced. Love living vicariously through that concept of the world is small.

Great summary! Totally hit home to a thought from the other day. I am generally very aware of landmarks and other orienteering practices when it comes to navigating the city here but totally without a moments thought went and pulled up google maps for something I was aware was in an area to just confirm. Usually I just go to the area and my brain is like yup right over there.

yay!!! Glad you are getting into a better way with things. I’ve had a couple friends go through similar bouts. 🙏
I now wear my Fossil Hybrid watch that has an approx. pedometer and heart rate monitor to just see where I am at but mostly it’s to get back into the groove because I have a new full time job that’s outside a fair bit of my wheelhouse but not… anyways it’s like a wonderful thing and the high is causing a good change in weight and emotion! Woohoo! Small wins!🙏

coffee and eggshells are for improving the soil acid and calcium. If you want to make a border for your beds get ashes and till and layer the border of the beds with a good 5mm depth by 30mm width all around. Marigold borders help with deterring many pests but for slugs and snails the ash is the way.

mine was shown https://hourofcode.com/ at school and has spent many hours learning the various portals they offer. She specific likes the Music Lab.
It’s exciting to see them have their aha moments and how quickly they go from 0 to 100. It’s really something when you witness the group collaboration and planning outside the application and then they try to figure out how to merge or tell the story they made.

we have had considerable snowfall throughout February across the country. It’s in a big melt now with temps hitting +5-12 vs the -35° 1.5 weeks ago.

the province of Saskatchewan (my home province) has over 250,000 km of roads (in various forms) the whole of which are mile by mile sections of land. Grids are in my blood hehe. We have a huge Agri-bition (agriculture exhibition) in the later fall/autumn and host many countries from around the world. Many from Europe. Most come to the flat and expansive province and are awe struck by the fields and space. I’ve enjoyed many a bottle of Schnapps from the Germany visitors.

totally get the tired and irritability but it’s also that time of year. Ours has max’ed out just about everything for my wife and I. Currently having a break from cleaning the house up for the weekend’s never ending be some place, do something. I can hear the clock and the distant rumble of the highway. Contemplating a coffee with a Lindor chocolate and biscotti… but it’s lunch time so maybe later. Take a moment have a reflection. Enjoy a peaceful view.

Prusa just announced their new printer called the Core One. It’s housed, fairly speedy, just works, plastic conscience due to technology improvements, it can have VOC suppression to reduce fumes and micro particles. Prusa also advocates for recycling and in Europe. I know price tag is steep but of all that are you there I would highly recommend Prusa. For me I’m fascinated by the concept of crafting something that can create something else in turn. I have a MK3S+

I totally get it for whom and what you want out of the time and energy put in. I am just appreciating the flow in which it’s not a 24/7 News outlet with some sort of capitalistic greed. I do feel out of the loop from the majority of some of the posts but it’s also everyone’s relationships here and outside this bubble that play into and I just go along for the ride. Nice to feel included but also new to the whole moment.

I am most at home here as well. I saw Andy Bell dropped Mastodon for Bluesky and isn't going to post again here... This is what caused me to go umm what's up? I've seen the critical mass comment thrown around but feel that is just a bump. I suppose marketing wise it would be best to spread oneself thin on all sites but then again I only have so much time in my day to day and rather it filled with a singular feed for the allotment of time I have given myself to engage.
