I just finished building a Voron Trident over the weekend. A friend gave me a busted Ender 3 to try out. I fixed it in 30 minutes and made a few prints, which got me interested enough to get something better.
Only issue so far was an inaccurate hot end thermistor. Had to dial down until the measured temp was 150 before I could print without stringing.
Now that the printer is working, I'm returning the Ender 3.

I was a normie kid in a normie family back in the 90s, so a lot of the political stuff just wasn't on my radar. I had bigger concerns being that nerdy kid everyone else wanted to pick on. I wound up turning into pretty much a lol-bertarian when I eventually did become politically minded. The Obama administration pretty much cured me of that though.

Hmm, aren't up to date and no contact info are legit gripes. Everything else is bullshit.
Theres an argument for taking the time to tweak a resume for the company being applied to but in most corporate BS job placement the HR twats reading them aren't smart enough to recognize a qualified candidate anyways.

I remember talking to a programmer friend back in the early days of online dating. He worked for a hookup site and told me that all he did was work on the automation of creating fake profiles of women to make it look like they had an equal ratio of men to women. In reality 99% of the female profiles were fake. The regular dating site he worked on was also mostly fake profiles. He left that line of work shortly after because things got too sketchy for him.

I struggle with this too. I do archery and it's mostly older people and kids. I do activities because I want to do them and my interests aren't things you find marriageable women at. I'm involved in ham radio too, and it's a sausage-fest of old and young nerds.

Well, Audie Murphy was 5'5" and was a war hero and movie star. He married twice and had two sons. Still, he's an outlier.
It's bad out there. I'm living in a house with a reasonable mortgage payment compared to what the going rent rate is where I live, working at a decent job with good benefits. However I am still single and don't hold out much hope any more for having a wife and some kids. I have younger friends who still live with their parents and don't see any way out. TBH I can't even see any way for them out.
I have certain niche skills that make me competitive on the job market, but most guys don't, and can't even get their foot in the door to try. So they can't find a job that pays enough to move out. Even if they can find a job that pays ok, the rent is so high they can't accumulate enough savings to be able to make a down payment to buy a house. Inflation keeps getting worse because our gay clown-world leadershit needs the big numbers to always GO UP!!! Whaddaya mean the economy is shit now? Big number is still going up, the boomers investments are still safe, so the economy must still be good and you're just a whining slacker who needs to bootstrap himself, have a firm handshake, etc!
So I can understand why young guys and especially manlets can fall into despair. All I can really tell them is not to give up, because in the end that's what the people in charge, who hate us all, want us to do. What worked for me was to stop worrying about what I don't have, can't find and can't do, and focus on what I already had, and build from there.

The military can't recruit young people because most young people aren't even White anymore and have no feeling of allegiance or duty to the USA. The White kids are all alienated from the USA because the government and society in general openly hates them. And commercials don't even make serving look glorious or exciting anymore.

I remember when I was in high school some exchange student from Israel was asking me who would win in a hypothetical war between Israel and the USA...
I was so flabbergasted that I was reluctant to answer at first since I personally had nothing against Israel at the time (not being wise to the JQ back then.)
Finally I told him Israel may have a good regional military but they're not a global power. The USA would just bomb their critical infrastructure with stealth bombers and blockade their ports until the economy was totally ruined. I personally found the whole conversation so distasteful that I ended it shortly after that. Knowing what I know now, the absolute hubris of this guy still amazes me.

Trump being elected in 2016 was the worst thing that could have happened to the prepper group I was in. Everybody just lost interest because Orange Man being elected meant things were gonna get better again.
