Moldbook has changed my view on Proof of Stake. Nothing to do with staking coins on chain now, these bots will fire up any number of fake Shitcoins. Staking is purely about how much Bitcoin a machine has staked in it's private wallet to give it proof of existence.

Total surveillance, cameras everywhere, spy satellites, massive AI to plan removal of whoever, whenever and we have to have idiots in masks killing peeps instead? The State will never fixes anything, everything they do is just self serving propaganda to justify more bureaucracy and control.

Just go with the flow, don't fight it, cut back on obvious scams though and digitalID, just do normal internet stuff with Bitcoin. Oh and have other private hardware system running in parallel, bolstered by private AI, Nostr, ObscuraVPN and other tools. This is the way.

Not sure it's just #Americans. When authority and surveillance and AI combine in real time against pre-crimes, where the crimes sway and shift to suit the bureaucratic whim. This affects every human, even the bureaucrats who think they can exempt themselves. Tribalism, whilst useful in the past to fight for resources on the Savanna, is a liability in centralised AGI world.

Telegram is exempt too. This is more about adults showing digital ID proof for access on popular platforms for centralised control. Nothing to do with the kids really.

Centralised SM is ultimately controlled by KYC and State mandates. Only the US has rules to enable hands off SM and only the current administration has exercised this. Next US admin could be more authoritarian or socialist. Centralised SM is, by design, fragile. Network effects and hypnotic lighting will not save centralised SM when the content is sanitised and irrelevant, especially when truth is found here. It has taken me a few years to make this platform a daily read, content here has diversified away from Bitcoin only and is often highly engaging.
How did I go NOSTR, gradually then suddenly.

It's a freeway unless you pay per use, then it's a tollway. Both of these are usually offer high speed and are higher than other roads, preventing water from cutting them during floods. So both freeways and tollways are highways.

Digital ID scope will grow, seems sort of inevitable. Best we can do is limit the AI, tech and non-essential groups who can access the real data like the Swiss are doing. Or live in a bunker.

2025-09-29 05:41:24 GMT

Not Swiss, just looked up the details on Grok as I found it hard to believe the Swiss were putting in a dystopian system like the UK and others are proposing.

2025-09-28 21:29:50 GMT

If we are to have e-ID, sounds like the best one going. Swiss rejected a private company managed system in 2021. New system is 100% government run and managed with privacy focus. Data, such as is this person over 18, is stored locally on device and only proofs are transferred, not names. It's voluntary and because it requires full referendum to change the system, probably less corruptible.
If a system like this works, then we could dismantle shadow ID systems. Shadow ID is the real problem. Attack surveillance capitalism at the source, its free data collection, hoarding and AI inclusion. Only allow collection of data if approved by the user via an e-ID zero knowledge proof. Then make data users pay for the use of that data and end surveillance capitalism.

AI is a statistical engine, already used for ID purposes via surveillance. Israel uses it to target humans in the Middle East, and everywhere else, already. At least overt Digital ID requirements are bringing privacy discussion into the open. Who knows, we might get more people on this platform soon.
