pretty much all I've heard in terms of Switch 2 games aside from the Mario Kart that I'm assuming is a new game, is that the next mainline pokemon games might be a dual release like botw was. Although that doesn't really make that much sense to me since the Switch 2 is backwards compatible but they have done that for the first mystery dungeon games (which were DS/GBA).

I did it as an experiment as a kid to see if it would be a quick way to change the alignment of a chao in SA2B but I was surprised to see it have a lasting impact on it and remember the chao eventually running away, crying from the character I used to abuse it. Normally I wouldn't care about the feelings of a virtual character but ever since then I have sort of a thing against torturing chao specifically.

idk if it works in 2DC, I think they patched it out for that version? Tempted to try it myself but I don't like abusing the chao because I'm a bitch who can't handle virtual infanticide.

Nonono that's how it works in the remakes. In the OG Dreamcast version you can lower an actual HP stat and when it hits 0 the Chao will immediately cocccon itself and die (no waiting until it becomes an adult)

Maybe I should get one... I might go to a different location to see if they have pokemon cards that I'm looking for anyways. I guess the real issue is that I want something from something I *really* like but most of the things I'm a turbo nerd over are either too obscure or have large markups on their merch (like Guilty Gear :blobfoxdeadinside: )

I guess I was kind of exaggerating a little bit, obviously they have the Switch 2 in the works but it feels like they're being pressured to rush this out sooner than they planned and I'm not 100% sure if we'll actually get anything when they said it would happen. Not saying it *won't* happen just that I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of a delay.
Inb4 the Switch 2 direct is literally "Yo here's the logo also Metroid Prime 4 and Pogeyman Leggings will also be on it, please shit the fuck up now"

I bought a plastic deck of cards and instantly regretted it. They have a very subtle version of that scratchy plastic feel, it's hard to describe. You know those cards that change when you look at them and when you scratch them it feels awful? It's like that but not nearly as bad.

For some reason I thought `Resident Evil 7 Biohazard` and `Resident Evil Village` came out at the same time like they're Pokemon games or something.
Not sure why I thought this? I think it's a combination of the games being related and me not even hearing anything about 7 until I heard about Village. The games just randomly having subtitles and Village not being called 8 probably also contributed to it. This wouldn't make any sense financially though :neofox_woozy:

It's also really weird because iirc EAC and the Proton fix for it is made by Epic themselves. So they went out of the way to fix the issue but refuse to use it for Fortnite specifically because... I don't know? :kaguya_confuse: Even Fall Guys uses it last time I checked.

really the only games I can think of that are literally unplayable are big live service games. And it's usually only the shitty ones like LoL, Fortnite, Valorant and CoD so I would consider this an upside personally :ac_smirking:.
Especially considering that all of those examples it's the developers being anti-consumer and intentionally breaking it and not an issue with Linux/Proton itself so it would be a good idea to boycott them anyways.
