Number go up and pure scarcity are synonymous. I was recently thinking about why #Bitcoin resonated with me immediately. It was both because of the fairness and truth that bitcoin restores, and because your purchasing power will grow over time. A return to quality. Quality of money results in quality of everything, since it incentivises long-term time preference. The time that is given back to you is in direct relation with number go up. Number goes up because of pure scarcity.

This interview was incredible. I had no idea the evidence was so clear. WTC 7 alone blows the cover completely off the official 9/11 narrative. I then watched a follow-up documentary made by FIREFIGHTERS called "Calling Out Bravo-7".

Hey Ben. I love a good conspiracy theory as any other Bitcoiner, and dug into the flat earth theory to see what evidence is being presented. From what I can see at this point, the evidence is not compelling.
Are you aware that you can't see Polaris at or south of the equator? If the Earth were flat, you would be able to spot Polaris on any part of the Earth, at varying angles depending on how far away Polaris is.
Rockets launched from Earth angling towards the horizontal makes perfect sense to enter orbit. The path of a satellite orbiting Earth is tangential to the Earth's surface, so you have to build tangential speed to keep from falling back to the surface. Once your horizontal speed is fast enough, you fall with the curvature of the Earth and essentially remain in orbit (there is atmospheric friction which varies in strength depending on your altitude and will eventually de-orbit a satellite if not compensated for).
The experiments performed in "Behind the Curve" supported the globe theory, but we're ignored. In particular, the gyroscope showed a drift of 15 degrees per hour.
That being said, I don't believe were are being told anything close to the truth in general. There are very strange oddities about the moon. One such example is the depth of the crators on the moon are not consistent with the diameter of the crater. For a given impact diameter you would expect a certain impact depth. What is obersvable on the moon seems to indicate that there is a solid surface strong enough to blunt the depth of an asteroid impact.
I'm also not convinced we landed on the moon. The fact that all of the telemetry data, of what should have been the most important event in human history, was accidentally deleted? The press conference after Apollo 11 was very strange, to say the least. And I haven't seen any astronauts who claimed to land on the moon swear on a Bible saying so.
All that to say is I appreciate you digging into to stuff and I think we all should be doing the same. As far as the flat Earth theory goes, I haven't seen any solid evidence.

Don't fall for it. I would wager that she and others will still try and make self-custody illegal, which is the whole damn point of #Bitcoin. Braiins and Ocean both offer no-KYC. Why don't more people use these pools? Yes, we still need more competition, but we also need to wake people up! You can only lead a horse to water.....
Ocean is new and has its detractors but Braiins should have more hashrate, especially after switching to FPPS. There are drawbacks to the FPPS model, but it works better for small miners and intermittent miners using their rigs for heat. The TIDES payout system that Ocean uses I think has potential to work even for intermittent miners. If they're successful with lightning integration and stratum v2 for block template decentralization, this could spearhead a new direction for mining pools to follow.

Using Orbot as a socks proxy running in the background has been a much better experience than using Orbot in VPN mode. The best example of this is SimpleX chat. I can connect to my own SimpleX server at home over Tor, while using my regular VPN with Killswitch engaged for all my other apps. Bluewallet? Nunchuck?

I second that. Another great series I just finished on Netflix is Barbarian. It's a German produced series about the rise of the barbarians against the Romans. You can watch with English subtitles or dubbed in English. Highly recommend subtitles, the dubbed voices are pretty bad.

Large pools have censored transactions (f2pool recently admitted this) and Luxor mined a block earlier this year for virtually zero onchain fees but took payment via side channels, thereby screwing all the hash providers in their pool. The reason they can do this is because they create the block template in obscurity so hash providers can't see the block until it's mined. I'm not saying Ocean is perfect, but at least they show you in real time their block template so when they do find a block, there are no surprises.

Hashrate is decentralized but mining isn't. Block templates are created and controlled by a few large mining pools. I've only recently come to understand this. That's why I moved my hash to @npub1qtv…7dze. Mining pools and individual miners who created they're own block templates are free to include whatever transactions they choose, that's the free market. Market forces aren't solely determined by highest profit. If it were, @npub1qtv…7dze wouldn't have any hashrate. The decision on whether to include inscriptions in the block template will be delegated to the hash providers themselves once stratum v2 is implemented. That's when hash providers will become more than hash providers, they will become miners. This is where mining needs to go for the health and decentralization of the network.

Some of whirlpool's coinjoin transactions are being filtered by ocean's Bitcoin node. Samourai and others are calling it censorship, but Luke Dashjr is saying it's not intentional or targeted at coinjoin, but some coinjoin transactions do not fall within certain consensus rules, and consequently get filtered.

Don't use Ledger if you can avoid it. Every bit of news about these guys is worst than the last.
If you do own a Ledger or know someone who does, and aren't in a position to get a better device, at least set it up in the best way possible, avoiding Ledger live.
There is a great article by arman the parman that walks you through this process. You only use Ledger live initially to download the Bitcoin app, then you never touch it again. Then you set up a fresh Bitcoin wallet offline and connect to sparrow wallet.

Yes. More pools! We need more options that offer privacy, decentralization-forcing incentives/protocols like SV2, fair/transparent payouts. I'd love to see this built in a way that also works for pleb miners heating at home where miners aren't on all the time. This has potential to be a huge market in the future and could represent a large portion of hashrate. Glad to see this conversation gaining traction.
